Last year I was third in the Health category readers choice awards by TCK publishing. I was also listed amongst the top 250 blogs in India for the third year in a row. All encouraging for a novice like me, who stumbled on this online world called digital education and fell in love with marketing.

This year too, I will request you to vote for me in the health category. It’s always nice to make it to the nomination final list and your support will help me win.
I’m so excited because my book was just nominated for the 2020 Readers Choice Awards contest by TCK Publishing!
Early on as a teenager, just turning an adult, I dabbled in some marketing freelance work (read standing at a stall and selling contact lens). It was not a difficult job. I was selling colored contact lenses, at a great price, by a good brand to young adults, who were very interested. The high of making your first sale was amazing.
I learned an important lesson then, which helped me when I started writing.
If it’s creating value in the life of people and you enjoy the work hard work always pays.
While blogging every day is always hard work I enjoy the challenge of mistakes and all. It’s bound to happen as I definitely don’t have a silent team managing it all. What I do have are blessings, plenty of good friends in the blogging community helping me share my work, a very supportive husband and challenges like the ultimate blog challenge.
I have been participating in the UBC for the last four years almost in all the seasons.
Three reasons why I always participate in the Ultimate Blog Challenge
Paul does a great job of inspiring you to write every day. The community is supportive and you get to read a lot of good blogs. It’s great advertising for your blog to an international.audience.I even wrote a book about the many blogging challenges which helped me and UBC is on the list.
What does the Ultimate Blog challenge do for your blog?
The ultimate blog challenge is called so because it tests your resolve. It tests your ability to make sense through written words every day. It challenges your thinking about creating value, only with long-form content. It gives you a feeling of accomplishment when you can do all the days. The best part is, even if you do miss a few days, you are far ahead than everyone else who never tried. Makes sense right?
What UBC is not
It’s not a race. The only person you compete against is yourself. You get better thinking and writing on the fly if you haven’t scheduled. It’s not a turnkey solution for more traffic. Some people reciprocate some don’t. Some are interested in your content some aren’t and you too will struggle with reading and sharing.

Is it for everyone?
Not really. Challenges work for me. It pushes me to try and strive for more. I don’t need a prize(but I love getting them), as long as its a way to improve my own self in some way. If you are like me and you are blogging, the Ultimate blog challenge will be a fun thing to try.
It’s definitely not a make it or break it. You can do as much or as little as you want. Did you ever participate in a writing challenge? Let me know in the comments below.
