I have known Blogchatter for millions of years. At least by internet standards, I know them from the time they were born and I was writing once a blue moon. But I started Healthwealthbridge in 2014 .
Update 2024:This course is no longer available. If you are starting a blog check out my list of free and some paid tools to get started today. You can check out my review of the Internshala Creative Writing course and my learning story.
Back then writing one blog post a month was something that made me feel like a writer. Then I waited for people to fall over themselves after reading what I wrote. But wait nobody knew. Nobody cared that a doctor was giving free health and wellness advice. Who needs more free advice right? We have Google.
Just like blogging, I knew people wanted to live a healthy life and do the right thing. But Google was full of easy tips by bloggers, who think they don’t have legal liabilities when it comes to healthcare and misinformation. That was my mission. Write on topics I have the authority /collaborate on others with other professionals.
That’s when it struck me
I learned everything from Googling and books, courses that I paid for and was given beta versions of.
But before starting I was very lucky to find the amylynnandrews.com blog and she now retired Knowtbook which helped me separate the grain from the chaff.
Now, when did Blogchatter courses start?
Blogchatter courses started in 2019. I have written about their My Friend Alexa and other blogging challenges. In fact, I even wrote a book about all the free challenges which helped me write 700 plus, blog posts in five years. In the first two years, I wrote a total of 14 posts. The challenges helped me share the news about my blog with people who read blogs. It also helped me write more than I thought I could write.
In 2019 when Blogchatter threw open their courses I quickly signed up. Guess why?
Because accreditation matters in the real world.
I am a registered doctor with a registration number and I am licensed to give medical advice. I also have training as an academic writer.
I was however never trained as a creative content writer.
I signed up for the Basic Blogging course
I finished the Creative writing course and published my anthology To Be Read with Blogchatter
I finished My Friend Alexa writing course
I am awaiting my Video Blogging course certificate.
If you ask me which course, I had most fun writing?
It was a Creative writing course. This helped me write more and find my voice. On another note please help me out.
I’m so excited because my book was just nominated for the 2020 Readers Choice Awards contest by TCK Publishing!
If you ask me which one was easier?
The basic blogging course was easier
My Friend Alexa is always a challenge even when I have done it 4 years in a row.
The video blogging course, was the most difficult for me as I am still struggling with this platform. In 2020 I hope to better this part.
Did I tell you my Podcast is available as an Alexa skill?
In English
In Hindi
Do listen to it and leave a review. It will help me do more to share healthcare awareness.
Why do you even need courses?
Okay, I know you are blogging for a long time and you need no help. That’s a very good reason to take up all the random courses. It’s also a good reason to get these certificates from Blogchatter especially for Indian Bloggers as I don’t know if anyone is giving accreditation for free in India.
Certification from a Registered company could very well help your CV.
In case you are a novice blogger, it will help you get essential elements in place. You will have a resource to fall back on when you want to do more with your blog.
Adult education and skill up-gradation can help in many works from home opportunity
Its always good to learn and challenge your brain.

Are the courses difficult?
No, the courses are sent through email and give you a bite-sized assignment and adequate time to finish them.
Is it time-bound?
Through self-paced, the assignments must be submitted on time for you to be eligible for the certificate.
Does it need a lot of expenses to complete the assignment?
Well, you need a good internet connection and time. Other than that, in 2019 no additional expenditure was required.
What are your results at the end of the 2019 year of challenges and courses?
I am happy to say I survived the Google updates of 2019 and the challenges to traditional blogging by the tiktok videos.
So, do I think Blogging courses are worth it?
Do you believe in the Doomsday theory that blogs are dead etc? If you do, then no amount of lecturing will make you agree about courses. But if you haven’t given up on Blogging and would like to do more as a creative content creator these courses could help you find your focus.
How to sign up for these courses?
In case you are interested in any of these courses, just tweet to @blogchatter on Twitter and they have the most amazing team. They will help you with your Blogging calendar in 2020. Don’t forget to let me know on twitter @misra_amrita if you sign up. Will be happy to follow your journey.
