San Diego
There are so many things to go through when traveling with a disability. Checking you have enough of your medication in stock, like enough insulin if you’re diabetic, is just one of the various parts of the checklist. So why not opt for a staycation to remove the stress? This way, you won’t have a language barrier in case anything should happen to your medication. San Diego is one of the top cities in America for disabled travelers thanks to the different tram systems to get around the city as well as the grid layout of the streets. Plus, many of the leading attractions for San Diego have all been updated to welcome every disabled guest.

Singapore
This city has been named as one of the most accessible cities in Asia. The wide sidewalks, mass rail transit, and unique buses have all been designed to help any traveler navigate the city. Plus, this doesn’t just mean for wheelchair users either. The public transport is due to be improved soon to better cater for visually impaired commuters. The botanic gardens in Singapore are a must-see while you’re there, too. After all that exploring, perhaps you are looking for somewhere to sleep? Singapore has a huge variety of hotels with disabled access where you can sleep like a baby after the day’s events.
Barcelona
This is a city that has been designed to accommodate all levels of ability. The streets are lined with ramps to make crossing traffic as easy as possible. Plus, their extensive public transport network has all be designed with wheelchairs in mind. All the buses in the city are wheelchair accessible, and many of the metro stations have fitted elevators. To top it all off, Barcelona even has a unique number to call if you require a wheelchair specific taxi to avoid disappointment. All these additions mean disabled travelers can enjoy sites from the Sagrada Família to Park Güell.
Playa del Carmen
This Mexican gem is tucked away within the country but is one of the most disabled-friendly cities in the world. In addition to a disabled tour of the local ancient ruins, the city has recently launched a public beach designed to make like as easy as possible for any disabled traveler. This is the very first of its kind in the country. There is everything from beach wheelchairs to special walkers and an extended boardwalk to make this beach experience the best it could possibly be. Local areas also have cranes that make swimming in the sea possible for any tourist.
No longer do we have to be confined to seeing our own hometown. These disabled-friendly cities mean we can explore the world. Be sure to leave a comment down below if you have any further suggestions.
Today I discuss about the variety of things ,that children put in their ear.Things in ear doesn’t sound as scary as those in the food or air pipe .But can be equally bad ,causing lifelong problem.
What can they put inside their ear?
Small beads
Muri(puffed rice)
Seeds
Button
Button battery
Chalk
Rubber
Crayon pieces and any thing that catches their fancy ,inside their ears.
Sometimes insect get inside .
Things which kids put in their ear can be removed without trouble or cause serious harm. All depends on what happens after that.Do you try at home ? Or go to a qualified doctor ?
What can happen if an untrained person tries to remove it?
At the least ,laceration in the ear canal.
The object can get stuck or impacted the ear canal.
It can travel further inside the ear canal .
If it’s beyond the isthmus ,it might need surgical removal
It might be pushed into the middle ear, rupturing the tympanic member .
What’s the major problem when this happens ?
The child can have pain in ear.
Feeling of obstruction.
If the ear canal is ruptured , hearing will be affected.
If the object enters the middle ear ,ossicles may be damaged .This can cause hearing loss. If the stapes bone is injured in any way ,severe dizziness and vomiting ,with permanent hearing loss may occur.
If it’s a button battery ,the leaching chemical can destroy the hearing system .It can be also life threatening.
What should you do if your child inserts an object in the ear?
Visit the nearest hospital with an ENT emergency.
Visit your ENT doctor.
What should you not do?
No forcible removal .That’s the first rule.
Do not attempt removal of object by yourself.
Don’t use sharp object to attempt removal.
Don’t take the child to a quack.
Take him or her to the nearest hospital with an ENT emergency.
Foreign bodies in ear should only be removed by a trained ENT doctor.
Do not give water ,oil ,or ear drop in the ear .If it’s a vegetable object like seed ,it may swell up and get stuck .
Do you have any stories of objects put in the ear by kids ?
10 Things you should never say sorry for, is a list of my favourite beliefs.
It’s a week since we welcomed the new year.
Remember these 10 .For me they are nonnegotiable, for living well.
1) Sincerity
This characteristic makes you trustworthy .Any relationship, you need trust. So being sincere is a quality you should never apologize for.
2)For reading books
The treasure trove of knowledge. I owe my life and all that I know to books .Read ,read and then read some more. That’s my motto in life.Paperback,e-books ;magazines ,newspapers anything What’s more important that learning?
3)For doing your best
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.
I only do things I can invest time sincerely.
4)For being kind
A highly underrated quality .It’s also a difficult one.Online or offline I plan to really persist with this.
5)For being honest
This one is a tricky one.Modifiable according to situation. Balance this with caution .For mental peace is even more important.
6)For loving yourself. A lot.
Self love is important. Until you love yourself you can’t love others completely. Until you love yourself your soul doesn’t feel loved.
7)For wanting to be there for your kids.
This is a landmine .SAHM ,WAHM ,working moms all have boatload of guilt.
Whatever you are ,it doesn’t matter.God knows what you want.
8)For being happy .
Happy is the best .It’s the best multivitamin. It’s the best way to look and stay healthy.
Happy means you enjoy life. That’s important. Enjoyment.
9)For liking money
Money is a misunderstood commodity. It’s a means of bartering .If you like the good it does ,there’s really no harm.If you appreciate it ,its attracted to you .If you feel it’s not important, that’s not good .
10)For believing in God
We are because of a supreme power.Saying thank you to this power is a way of reinforcing your belief. Believing makes thing happen.

I found that emotional stability ,when I started my blog.It was my digital home.I was the owner. I could garden ,draw ,decorate, put down roots
Being a blogger, was my cocoon.
My home which changed only when I wanted it.
I am thankful that I have an online home which belongs to me.I own it .I have my stamp on it.

When I became a doctor I realized all the lifestyle advice I so passionately gave was in fact repetitive.
So many people needed to know about the same things .My blog niche was determined. Plus it gave me a perfect way of giving back to society, from where I was in life.
I didn’t have to wait 20.years more for my daughter to grow up before I worked full-time and more.
Because blogging can be done even sitting next to your sleeping baby .Guilt free.
#8
I have a voice and it’s a responsible one. When you are blessed, it’s important you remember and say thank you.Having a social media following is not just an ego boost .It’s a powerful way to make your voice reach the people who need it most.

#3
It’s helped me live and breathe again.
When anxiety was eating me up.Life seemed hopeless .The struggle to be a doctor and mom was proving too much.
I discovered blogging. It helped me find my answers .My why .My how .My what.
#2
It has helped me keep my brain super active .Blogging is creative and technical.Art and science. Needs brain and soul. Talent and sensibility. So blogging is keeping me young. The more I learn more new connections between my neurons.

Ebook Carnival in India by Blogchatter is one of a kind. The good news is you get to read good books by experienced and upcoming authors free of cost.
Blogchatter does an excellent job at getting together, motivating, guiding and inspiring so many people to publish their books. Writing and self-publishing need guts. You are fighting against fears, mindsets, social norms and your own expectations.
What people may say
People are happy to tell you how only traditional publishing is the real thing. That no self-respecting person would dream of doing what you want to do.That your work is not the best thing since sliced cheese and should thus be hidden under the carpet.
They will tell you how perfectionism is their thing and they can’t imagine publishing books the way other people do. That’s why they never wrote that book. Obviously, nothing less than perfect should see the light of the world!
I will tell you a few things about self-publishing
• You have nothing to lose.
• You have only yourself to blame or cheer.
• If you don’t try you will never know.
• You can expect people to turn green.
You must understand even the greatest authors have to try. They have to learn to face rejection and shine above that.
What will you get when you participate in Blogchatter Ebook?
• A chance to be showcased on the Blogchatter website for 2 months.
• Reviews by people who will read your Blog with feedback.
• Social shares by people who have read your book and liked it.

• Community to keep you going.
• The sense of accomplishment.

God has interesting plans. I met Preethi during my #ThankfulThursday blog hop.
What interested me is this woman managed blogging and actually had written an Amazon bestseller .
How awesome is that.A blogger ,a published author ,managing home, life and writing with equal elan.
So when I got a chance to peek into the life of this amazing woman,I thanked my stars.
Inaugurating my 2017 blogging journey series with Preethi Venugopala.
Read on to know how this lady does it all.
Hi Preethi so glad you agreed to this interview.
Tell me the back-story behind your blog
I began blogging in June 2013. It began as a platform to display my art: my acrylic paintings, sketches and digital painting. Writing was always on the back burner initially. Nowadays, art is on the back burner as writing has become my top priority.
Who is your target audience?
I focus on fiction, writing tips and self-help in my blog posts. So all those interested to read about these topics can find enough matter on my blog.
How many blogs do you manage?
I have three blogs to be accurate. But I regularly update only one. I created a blog for my husband who wanted to begin blogging. On the other one, I blog in my mother tongue Malayalam where I have attempted to translate a few chapters from my debut novel.
Preethi Venugopala is a mompreneur wearing many hats. She was kind enough to share her writing secrets with us .Say hi to her
Best blog design tips from your experience
I like to keep my blog user-friendly and simple. Simple dark fonts on light backgrounds works best for me. Too many widgets also just don’t seem professional.
How do you manage family, work, and personal care? Give us your best time management tips.
Organizing and prioritizing helps. Not everything on your to-do list needs to be ticked off in the evening. I follow my intuition mostly. I do the thing that gives me a feeling of accomplishment rather than being just an easy item on my list.
What are the five Best blogging practices?
I think I am not the right person to answer that question, as I am not a very good blogger these days. But I think posting regularly, being honest in your posts, replying to comments and blog hopping are the most important practices that any blogger should follow.
Which email service do you use? Why do you like them?
Gmail. They are very user-friendly and as it is from Google the ID comes handy for many things. Give us your top five ways of making money from your blog.
Which one is your favorite and why?
Bloggers can make money from their blogs through many ways. Some of them are writing paid reviews, posting sponsored listicles, interviews, sponsored posts, and advertisements. My favorite one is through sponsored posts. If the brand appeals to you, you can easily write a good post and earn from it as well.
Do you have any products? What’s special about them?
My books are my products. They will leave you with a feel good feeling when you turn the last page. It is all about positivity and love.
Your inspiration and favourite quote.
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”
Eleanor Roosevelt
Tell me the story of your book getting published.
Writing happened by accident. The story came to me in a dream and in the morning, I noted down the names of the characters and the key incidents in my diary. Then I wrote it all down in a notebook. After the handwritten first draft, I typed it all out in a word document fleshing out the story further. After that, I found a few beta readers, editors and finally a publisher who gave my book the form it has today.
What resources would you recommend for getting own book published for budding authors?
Developing a disciplined writing practice is the most important thing to do for any budding author. There are many websites that can guide you towards accomplishing your writing goals.
www.Writetodone.com
www.Nownovel.com etc give many free resources and writing guidelines.
Give me your best tips &message for struggling Bloggers
Just persevere. Don’t give up at any stage. I treat my blog as my writing workbook. You might find errors when I first post a blog post, as most are results of free-writing exercises. But I do go back and edit whenever I get time. It is not about perfection. It is about just showing up consistently and blogging. Some posts might get read more than others. It doesn’t matter. You grow as a writer with each word you write. Also join blogging platforms like Indiblogger and Blogadda.
Services+freebies for my audience
You can read my debut novel ‘Without You’, my short story collection ‘Love minuets’ and my kids book The Teddy who Ran away on Kindle Unlimited for free.
What’s your vision with this venture
I want to be a much-loved writer known for my light yet uplifting stories.
Are you involved in any charitable causes?
I do what I can through my writing. I was associated with the Do right campaign by Tata on Indiblogger and was able to donate my winning money of 20K to the Tirupur school of the deaf in Tamilnadu. I have also written for the AkshayaPatra campaign as part of Blogadda. Every post I wrote, fed a child for a year. I made sure I wrote the maximum number of posts allowed.
Tell us a little bit about your family. Who is your biggest support?
I am blessed to be born in a family, which venerates creativity. My husband supports me most in all my creative ventures. My brother and sister are the other two pillars of support. My mother is my inspiration and my late father is my inner voice. My son is my happiness. About the author: Preethi Venugopala is a civil engineer turned author.
