Dear daughter sharing Mommy wisdom on Children’s Day is not easy.Should I preach?Should I share my love for you?Should I give you hugs and kisses or should I teach you to pray?Maybe I should teach you to fight?Maybe I should teach you to love?Big confusion, even more difficult time writing down.
While thinking about what to write ,I remembered this song.
When I was just a little girl ,I asked my mother
What will I be?Will I be pretty ?Will I be rich ?…Heres what she said to me
Que sera sera What will be will be?The future is not ours to see…
This song by Doris Day is a long time favorite for you and me both. The first part of the query is my first bit of mommy wisdom. But it’s not what you think.
10 Mommy Wisdoms on Children’s Day
#1
Will you be pretty? Will you be rich?
Why not pretty, rich and wise?If I wish I would choose all things good and sweet for you.
But if I could choose one?I would choose wise .Pretty you will always be, because your heart is beautiful. But if you are wise, riches will never be a problem.
#2
But will it always be good and sweet? The future makes all of us curious.
Is it better to not know the future?Or is it better to know?Is it better to do what you can,try your best and pray for the rest? But if what will be, will be..then what is the use of trying, it’s all destined .Right?
What if trying and changing the course is your destiny. How will you know if you don’t try? What will be will be ..but do try.If you don’t try you will never fail. But you will never succeed either!
#3
What lies ahead? Will you have rainbows day after day?Rainbows are magic and you are a part of God’s magic too.But you will not always have rainbows. You will have blue skies and dark clouds. There will be rains and storms, be brave my darling daughter because you will only grow stronger with every storm you brave.
#4
Be strong but flexible.Bend but don’t break and never bend backward. That will not help anyone.
#5
Health first always.Health is your true wealth and also your wisdom.
Be healthy emotionally, physically and socially. All three will determine how you live.Remember you are your choices. You can choose to be healthy and happy.
#6
Happiness is inside you. It’s in your own hand and heart. No one else can make you happy, if you don’t have it inside you.Until you love yourself deeply, you will have difficulty finding someone who loves you more.Be youor own best friend and you will know what to look for in friends.
#7
Always have boundaries. All relationships work better when you have boundaries.Love deeply, care and help, but make your own boundaries and keep it.Boundaries and values will always help you.
#8
Avoid debt forever. It’s not good. It’s not a happy place and saving is one way of increasing your earnings. It’s never too late to save.
#9
Nurture true friends and friendships .But choose relationships with care.Anyone who doesn’t let you grow, who wants to break your soul, need to be ignored.Positive criticism is good, but not soul-destroying ones.Friends are the family you choose, so choose wisely.
#10
Dream big with eyes open.Believe in magic and fly with rationality and always believe in yourself.Because I will always do too!
