Krishna Niti Timeless Strategic Wisdom by Kushagra Aniket and Nityananda Misra is the topic of discussion today .
In the light of the world getting into fights and the terrorism by Pakistan in Pahalgam ,I read a series of tweet about diplomacy and war in this world scenario. Kautaliya,48 Laws of Power and the Art of War by Sun Tzu was often mentioned but not Lord Shri Krishna. While checking out academic edu for work I found an interesting article Krishna Niti
It’s 58 page pdf discussing the ultimate warrior ,peace maker and king maker whose words and wisdom makes Bhagavat Geeta the best resource for understanding peace,Dharma/Dhamma,war,karma and punishment.
Lord Shri Krishna’s practical life, strategic thinking, morality, social responsibility, social conduct, governance, law and polity is not often discussed .Atleast his art of war is not a topic I have read about.
It’s not easy to talk about many things and this one of them.In minority institutes in India religious education is allowed, but in other institutionsย the Hindu religious wisdom was never shared. Allowing the sprouting of misunderstanding of one’s one civilizational pain, history, valour and wisdom.Thankfully many have started exploring this on their own and academic discourse like this on a platform like academia.edu made me curious to read this.
Sharing a few of the things that stuck in my brain.
Krishna Niti excerpts :
When war is inevitable, one should fight to win.
“O Yudhishthira, a scheming and wily person should be killed by resorting to scheming ways. And so, may [Bhima] pay back the evil king Duryodhana in his own coin.”
“Where there is dharma, there is Krishna. Where there is Krishna, there is victory.”
Where there is truth, dharma, humility, and uprightness, there resides Govinda.
