Blogging: Why do I love it?
I am a Doctor blogger and I love it!
Once upon a time, I was only writing prescriptions and singing lullaby to my baby. Then while watering my plants, I was struck by a brainwave.
I loved reading a blog by Melissa Michaels where she talks about how to love the home you have and home decor stuff. All regular, but lovely to read.
I loved how she connected through her writings and my brain said Bingo!
That’s it! New job, new baby, new home and new town, I needed something to keep me grounded while everything turned topsy turvy.
When I started Blogging, it was for me
It was to calm my mind down and slow the continuous stream of questions, confusions, and meandering. It helps me organize my thoughts and find a conclusion. To break down big problems into sizeable chunks of things to do.No problem is impossible including digital entrepreneurship from a small town in India.
If there is Internet and God’s grace you can learn anything and fo anything. Armed with this belief I started
Roughly three months on WordPress and then on my self hosted blog in October with 2014.One of the most right-brained decision for me. Then it was for you and me and all those readers who are yet to find my blog.
I like planning. I love seeing the point of it, ten years, twenty years down the live. Not in exact details, but the big picture, that gets me excited. Blogging seemed like the magic wand which actually will help do exactly that.
What should I even blog about?
Should I write about healthcare and diseases and give advice?
Nah, that’s so boring! Right? Who anyway listens to their mom when she nags? Who listens to their doctor when they are advised to stop smoking?
A quick note, I actually have to mention addictive substance by name, while taking my patient’s history. Otherwise many forget to mention their regular gutkha or tobacco chewing habits, occasional weekly alcohol binges and one pack a day friendly smoking parties at the tea shops.
That’s why my blogging started. To all the young and wise people who read my blog, listen up!
- Smoking is not cool. You are just frying your lungs and stripping the lining of your aerodigestive tract. The scary part is, secondary smoke is bad too.
- Gutkha, paan masala, betel nut, and random other addictive substances are uncool too.
- Alcohol has long term ill effects and binge drinking may affect your inner ear too!
- Recreational Drugs are not okay to try.
- LSD and CBD can alter your brain chemicals in unknown ways irreversibly. Trying once is not recommended. It can not only alter your brain, your health, your reproductive health and that of your future children.

Just like you shouldn’t try, the Dabaang star’s stunt of crossing rail lines in slow motion, you should definitely skip trying the addictive substances.
Primary prevention must reach the kids the young moms the adolescent and those at the cusp of making lifestyle choices, which will change their life one bad habit at a time.
You may think you are more than the sum of your habits. But in reality, your habits reflect your choice, your mindset your goals and tell the world exactly who you are and how strong you are mentally!
Watch on Youtube!
So if you ask me why I started blogging.
- To stop mindless online shopping
- To do my bit for spreading preventive healthcare information.
- Do my part in making Google and the Worldwide Web a better place.
- Spread the message of # Verifyhealthcare . Bust the myths of controversial health advice
- Overall boost up my list of good habits and good deeds for eternal peace, happiness in the afterlife and all lives to come.

Whatever you reason was to start, I’m glad you did, I enjoy reading your blogs! I started December 2014 mainly for writing product reviews. Within a few months when I switched to self hosting, I also added more categories and love to write about helpful tips but also just fun and humorous blogs. Once my great granddaughter joined in, she has stolen the show! LOL

Yes thats something I like doing too. Reviewing products are a much-needed service we bloggers do. I don’t buy anything without reading reviews on blogs!

This is my first visit to your blog. It was nice to find out why others love blogging, as I do. I can really relate to the need to order your thought life. Managing my mental health was what originally brought me to the interwebs and blogging.

I started blogging because my clients and friends were complaining about the avalanche of information I was sending them every day.

A very helpful habit indeed. How many people share helpful advice? I am sure they feel lucky.
