Now that Blogchatter A2Z is coming to an end, I plan to share my steps to get the BlogchatterEbook ready, including the Canva tutorial. But for now, I want to share a fun side project I did as a part of the Internshala Creative writing course I did.
I finally wrote a short story. It’s a murder mystery, and it’s available on Kindle Unlimited for Free!
Now while I finished Blogging in April 2020, writing a whole lot of nonfiction, I was experimenting with fiction, just for some brain exercise. The funny thing about writing short fiction is, it’s a quick project, its fun, its low stress, and you feel satisfied when it’s done. The barrier of entry being lower, I could get this done while Blogging throughout April.
Fun fact: This story was supposed to be a terrorist plot. I always start out with one of those. Then the New Corona thing got to me, and I decided to write a nice clean murder-mystery-treasure-hunt story.
There was too much terror everywhere, and the mystery was way more fun than the other thing.
Last year with the Blogchatter Creative writing Challenge, I wrote a romance story. It was challenging.
Writing stories is like giving birth.
It’s like nothing else in this world.
Fun fact: My daughter helped me design the cover on Canva. It was so much fun!
Why did I write this story?
It was a project /homework thing.
I was given clues.
I wanted my mind out of the New corona Virus terror plot.
I believe in life after birth, rebirth everything else. But for now, this is the one life I am living, and I want to do everything I can, to keep my optimism up! Nothing like solving crime.
Immunity-boosting, gardening, social distancing, staying in lockdown mode is giving us a fighting chance.
What else did I do this April?
I cooked with my balcony garden grown, pumpkin greens. Dreamed of going for a swim, buying my own island, a seaplane, zapping New Coronavirus into a centipede, and abolishing it to Mars.
Mystery book I wrote in Corona April
If you are not living on Mars, you must have unwittingly digested all the stories around the origin of the Wuhan virus and China’s information warfare. Now while all writers want to write a conspiracy theory thriller until you and I know the exact sequence of events, the stories are only in our heads or laptops. I am honing my skills by solving other murder mysteries and treasure hunts.
Thats its for today.
What did you do this April?Letter me know in the comments below.
