I get stressed when things don’t follow the plan .But it’s worse when hubby is not around to calm me down .The best way to get rid of chronic stress is not to use the wrod stress or tension.That worked for me.I say things like “I need a plan Z or I am looking for a solution.I am a doctor and I started blogging in 2014 .Stress was one of the reasons I took to writing.
Most people are helped with just a few But some people need more help.
That’s when you need to take charge of your mind.
The main problem is, most people don’t want to take responsibility for their actions .
They want someone to solve their problems.Someone to give them medicines or wave a magic wand .
I sometimes wonder why people don’t study?
Even if I do get, that children should enjoy their childhood ,I don’t understand not letting them get prepared.It’s about teaching them to study a little every day ,so that you don’t stress during exams.
Life unfortunately is not a bed of roses.Neither is it fair .
The only way to get what you want out of life is to be armed to a T.
Learning life skills is part of that very important dressing up .
If you want to be healthy ,eat healthy, exercise ,sleep.
If you want to earn well .Study hard .You never know which skills you may need.

Education never goes to waste ,until you waste it.
Just because you are good at something and love something, doesn’t mean you can’t be awesome at something else too!

Of all the people I see struggling ,I find one very important common link.They don’t take responsibility.
Most things in life is the result of a choice you have made at some point in your life
When I get stressed I do 5 things to snap me out of it :
1)Jump on the treadmill for a quick run.It helps a lot .The single best thing to try.
2)I prune my plants and give my balcony garden a lot of TLC.
3)Drink a lot of water .
4)Read a mystery novel, often in Bengali my mother tongue.
5)Cuddle Rai and tickle her .

Feminism means wanting equality for women .Till I was a mother, I was a vocal feminist.But once I became a mom to a tiny pink bundle of joy, I realized some truths.
All employers while recruiting women, keep one thing in mind. Whether you are going to have a child anytime soon, or are a mom.
Whether they will actually say so, will depend on the category of MCP they belong to.Men will always forget they have a mom, while disapproving child care leave to women.If you are a woman and don’t want a family , you will be judged.
Yes, you will be judged by everybody. Male,female ,young ,old.They will wonder why?They will check out how you look and behave.
Do men face this?Sure they do.But not in the same way, right?
If you are married they will judge you.If you have children and want to spend time with them, they will judge.
If you leave them at daycare they will judge.Plus you will also judge yourself. If you are ambitious and want to do well ,they will cast aspersions on your ability to manage home and family.
If you are highly educated ,they will doubt your matrimonial suitability.
Now the question arises who are they?
They are not just men.There are plenty of women whose daily pass time include, dissecting other women.Bringing down their moraleTearing apart their dreams and aspirations.
There are also men, who understand what you are going through. Men who help .Not because you are a pretty female, but because you are a human being who is asking for help.
As a humanist ,I want to be a good doctor and help the people who need me.
I want to be a wonderful teacher for my students.I want to be my hubby’s partner in all his battles .
I also want to do all this, with my little girl happy , well cared for and growing up to be a strong woman.
The only way to teach her to be strong is to be strong myself. A difficult job.But one that must be done
During my life here on earth,I have befriended men and women.I married my best friend .Another veryclose friendd is a man.In fact this friend is my hubby’s friend too for the last 17 years.
With men like these I have realized one thing .They are good human beings .
I never could tolerate chauvinism .Neither could I tolerate the damsel in distress thing.But sometimes in life we may be women needing help.
That’s when we need men /women in shining armours to save us.I have a few such wonderful men and women in my life.If God wanted all to be equal,he would have made us so.Once he made men ,God realized for any life to make a difference, it needed the power to create miracles.
That’s when he made women.

I want to be a woman, who can have all the rights she wants.As a child and young woman equal rights will do.

I went for a picnic at the Indo-Bangladesh border called Tilason. We had a fantastic time.The wind blowing over the acres of yellow mustard fields blew away the cobwebs of everyday life.
I believe if we really rejuvenate our souls over the weekends ,work and life stress would have a lesser long term effect.
My daughter very aptly requests a small piece of the ocean and beach to play in.
Such a simple life children have.Just make a wish and someone will fulfill it.
Being grown up means you realise that yourself is the best person to take care of your dreams.
Throughout the week whenever I closed my eyes I see a green and yellow fields.Thw mustard flowers gently nodding their heads as the north wind advises them about a variety of things.
I visited the book fair at Malda. Yes Malda has a book fair.Its a pretty good one too.I got 10 books.My birthday is a week away and I am helping my hubby shop for gifts.
Sundays are fundays. This Sunday I went for another picnic .This was at Aquatic Bengal.Lots of fun for the little one.I love water sports. But it really is too cold to get in the water
But I like being surrounded by green water and fresh air.Crowds and blaring music notwithstanding, it’s pleasant.
There’s something about being free of the daily grind that puts me at peace.
