Patience
Strange thing this motherhood thing Ask anyone whether I am a patient soul ?
You will get a loud No. I was very impatient before I was a mommy. I am still impatient with all things non-mommy ,but daughter brings out my most patient self.We have spent hours together drawing and coloring.
With her I rediscovered my joy with all things creative.
Childhood second time around is even more fun.
Not raising my voice
I was a screamer .Okay I still can be very high pitched(read screamer) and exasperating when angry .But this route cuts no cake with my daughter. She insists I smile at her while I scold her.Trying doing that .It comes out as a grimace .But my daughter doesn’t rest till I give a proper smile.In the meantime I forget what I was angry about. I think the little one follows a set plan.
It’s tiring but you will discover your secret super powers .When you are under a microscope darling,better be at your best.I blog, cook, run, read ,writeand I am a doctor-teacher in a medical college .See that sounds crazy.But it’s because my daughter helps me with this .We have study time together .Problem is me being on the laptop is work .Her on the laptop is fun.So we have tug of war about who is working and who is not .Net result I read a lot of books when she is writing,doing math .
I realized if I want her to have good habits,better work on myself Being an example works better than telling !I as a child insisted on examples and proof.
Empathy for all moms everywhere
SAHM,WAHM,working moms,single moms,moms everywhere we all do our best.But its always difficult.Wherever you are ,if you are a mommy ,know this.We are there with you.Together we will do it.We do our best with what we have .
Sorry mommy for being difficult.It would be impossible to be my own mom.I have a never ending list of Why’s .Plus I need proof .Get the drift.My poor mommy had a struggle because I really didn’t get “because mommy says so”.
So raising kind ,nice, fun ,creative and obedient children is definitely more difficult than rocket science .
I am concentrating on giving her life skills. I do wipe her tears when she gets hurt .But I also teach her to wipe her own tears and be strong.If her friend doesn’t play with her ,I remind her she has 15 other friends .Life skills it’s only us.
It’s a no holds barred ,roller coaster ride
Motherhood is fun .You are a Disney Princess, when you make a pigtail before going to bed.You are more beautiful than anyone else in the world.You will be her bestie. Plus you get to cuddle and smell the baby smell all the time.What’s not to like right ?Its fun ,its the best feeling in the world to be a mom.
My angel is going to be 5 on 23rd of February. 5 years flew by and we now dance ,sing,draw, tickle daddy and online window shopping together.
My lessons of motherhood continue with every passing day.Its a little different everyday.Its a life long degree at the University of life.

The book Go Giver is an amazing little book.Its true that good things come in small packages.I have written about the book many times.
Every time I get flustered or doubt my course ,I have a quick re-reading of this book.
Love the Home you have helped me at a time I was having a want to put down roots but there absolutely no way so I am sad syndrome.This book let me find happiness in a rented home too .My landlord is a gem.He never once complained about the balcony jungle that I have grown in my home.
Life is made up of every moment .Waiting for one day to shift to your dream house, may rob you of making a home with your loved ones.
Home is truly where the heart is.
The third book is on Writing Well by William Zinsser, is a treasure.It was recommended by Stephen King himself in his book On Writing.
Until we read people who write well , you never learn the craft.Its for that very reason I picked up this book .Stephen King had said if you don’t read other books,don’t expect people to read yours.
I am halfway through this book.One interesting thing the author said that stuck with me ,it’s difficult to write in first person .But we really need to practice that .Maybe not for all niche.But definitely try it out.It increases confidence in your own voice as the author.
Another snippet was about nonfiction writing,William , gives us snippets of random well written nonfiction even scientific stuff.He tells you to make it fun .Just because it’s a serious topic it need not be boring.I write a lot on health and disease The author advices not to make the mistake of taking things too seriously.If people get interested in what you write, a lot of faults get overlooked.But if it’s boring even if its well written,Its still boring
