Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, 8th April 2025: FUJIFILM India – a leader in healthcare imaging technology, has announced its latest CSR initiative “Care on Wheels” in Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of World Health Day. Inaugurated by Dr.(Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Honourable Minister of Health and Welfare, Government of Himachal Pradesh, this groundbreaking intervention features a dual approach with a static healthcare center complemented by a fully equipped mobile van that will deliver X-Ray and clinical chemistry tests combined with tele-radiology and tele-health services directly to people’s doorsteps. Leveraging state-of-the-art diagnostic and imaging technology, this initiative ensures cutting-edge medical systems that strengthens healthcare infrastructure in Mandi and ensures access to proactive check-ups where population resides.

FUJIFILM India is ensuring accessible healthcare for all with this initiative and will reach door to door and address the health concerns in remotest of areas. By deploying state-of-the-art medical equipment through “Care on Wheels,” the company is promoting inclusive healthcare and ensuring that essential diagnostic and imaging services are within reach of every individual. With the CSR approach, the mobile van in its initial phase will cover the whole area of 3,950 km² covering the Mandi district, providing essential services like General Health Checkup, CBC Test, TB Screening, X Ray diagnosis, Tele-Radiology, 18+ Blood Tests, COPD diagnosis and Tele-Consultation with doctor.

As part of this initiative, FUJIFILM India is incorporating cutting-edge diagnostic technology to enhance healthcare delivery. The DRI-CHEM NX600, an automated clinical chemistry analyzer and Portable X-ray Unit FDR Xair, will be deployed in the CSR program, making advanced radiography possible along with quick clinical chemistry reports, even in the most remote locations. These innovations will play a critical role in delivering efficient and precise healthcare diagnostics on the go while covering wide ranges of diseases from COPD to TB.

HaystackAnalytics Unveils ‘TB One’ Solution to Strengthen India’s TB Control Efforts #PressRelease #WorldTBDay

The solution was launched at the India Innovation Summit: Pioneering Solutions to End TB today, as a next-generation solution (NGS) empowering labs and hospitals with genomic sequencing capabilities to enhance TB treatment outcomes

March 19th, 2025: In a move to bolster India’s fight against tuberculosis (TB), HaystackAnalytics has introduced ‘TB One,’ a Make-in-India solution designed to enhance TB diagnosis by enabling Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) at any diagnostic lab or hospital. This all-in-one offering includes a pre-sequencing kit for Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), access to ‘Omega TB’—HaystackAnalytics’ patented clinical reporting software—and on-demand access to 2GB of sequencing data. The Omega TB software delivers a comprehensive clinical report covering resistance to 18 anti-TB drugs, along with mixed infections, non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), and heteroresistance—all within a single, standardized report. By equipping healthcare providers with precise, data-driven insights, ‘TB One’ aims to improve TB management and strengthen India’s fight against the disease.

The Solution has been unvieled by Dr Anirvan Chatterjee, Co-founder & CEO, HaystackAnalytics & Dr Rajendra Prasad at Indian Council of Medical Research’s (ICMR) India Innovation Summit: Pioneering Solutions to End TB on March 19, 2025. With this solution genomics-based TB testing would become more accessible and scalable by enabling existing laboratories to upgrade to NGS testing for TB without significant infrastructure changes. This solution aligns seamlessly with HaystackAnalytics’ mission to make genomics accessible, applicable, and affordable, addressing a critical need to transform molecular diagnostic laboratories into advanced genomic facilities.

TB ONE :Tuberculosis Genome Sequencing Library Kit

India has made significant strides in TB control, achieving a 17.7% decline in TB incidence from 2015 to 2023, surpassing the global average reduction of 8.3%. However, challenges persist, with an estimated 27.8 lakh TB cases and 3.2 lakh TB-related deaths reported in 2023. Notably, India contributes to 26% of the global TB burden, underscoring the urgency for innovative diagnostic solutions. Additionally, drug-resistant TB remains a major obstacle to eliminating the disease. ‘TB One’ solution is designed to address this challenge by providing a comprehensive solution for drug resistance profiling, making advanced genomic testing more accessible to healthcare providers.

Emphasizing on the transformative potential of ‘TB One’ solution, Dr. Anirvan Chatterjee, Co-founder and CEO of HaystackAnalytics, said, “We are empowering existing molecular labs to perform high-precision genomic testing without requiring expensive infrastructure modifications. This cost-effective and scalable approach ensures greater accessibility to advanced TB diagnostics across India. Each TB One kit contains reagents to process 16 samples and requires prior extraction of TB DNA. ‘TB One’ Solution is a pre-sequencing kit that enables the preparation of a ready-to-sequence library from TB DNA. It simplifies the complex process of genomic testing, allowing laboratories and hospitals to integrate groundbreaking technology into their existing workflows. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the launching of the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) as a standalone Centrally Sponsored Scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.

The scheme has a total outlay of Rs.2481 crore (Government of India share – Rs.1584 crore; State share – Rs.897 crore) till the 15th Finance Commission (2025-26).

The Government of India has launched the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) to promote natural farming in mission mode across the country as a standalone Centrally Sponsored Scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.

Rooted in the traditional knowledge inherited from their forefathers, farmers will practise Natural Farming (NF) as a chemical free farming which involves local livestock integrated natural farming methods, diversified crop systems, etc. NF follows local agro-ecological principles rooted in local knowledge, location specific technologies and is evolved as per the local agro-ecology.

NMNF aims at promoting NF practices for providing safe & nutritious food for all. The Mission is designed to support farmers to reduce input cost of cultivation and dependency to externally purchased inputs. Natural farming will build & maintain healthy soil ecosystems, promote biodiversity and encourage diverse cropping systems to enhance resilience as suitable to the local agroecology are the benefits of natural farming. NMNF is launched as a shift to scientifically revive and strengthen agriculture practices towards sustainability, climate resilience and healthy food for farmer families and consumers.

In the next two years, NMNF will be implemented in 15,000 clusters in Gram Panchayats, which are willing, & reach 1 crore farmers and initiate Natural Farming (NF) in 7.5 lakh Ha area. Preference will be given to areas having prevalence of practising NF farmers, SRLM / PACS / FPOs, etc. Further, need-based 10,000 Bio-input Resource Centres (BRCs) will be set-up to provide easy availability and accessibility to ready-to-use NF inputs for farmers.

Under NMNF, around 2000 NF Model Demonstration Farms shall be established at Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), Agricultural Universities (AUs) and farmers’ fields, and shall be supported by experienced and trained Farmer Master Trainers. The willing farmers will be trained in Model Demonstration Farms on the NF package of practices, preparation of NF inputs, etc. near their villages in KVKs, AUs and practising NF farmers’ fields. 18.75 lakh trained willing farmers will prepare inputs like Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, etc. by using their livestock or procure from BRCs. 30,000 Krishi Sakhis/ CRPs will be deployed for awareness generation, mobilisation and handholding of willing farmers in the clusters. Natural Farming practices will help farmers to reduce input cost of cultivation and dependency on externally purchased inputs while rejuvenating soil health, fertility & quality and building resilience to climate risks like waterlogging, flood, drought, etc. These practices also reduce health risks from exposure to fertilisers, pesticides, etc. and provide healthy & nutritious food for the farmers’ family. Further, through Natural Farming, a healthy Mother Earth is bequeathed to the future generations. Through improvement of soil carbon content & water use efficiency, there is an increase in soil microorganisms and biodiversity in NF.

Farmers will be provided with an easy simple certification system and dedicated common branding to provide access to market their natural farming produce. Real time geo-tagged & referenced monitoring of NMNF implementation shall be done through an online portal.

Convergence with existing schemes and support structures of Government of India/ State Governments/ National & International Organisations shall be explored for enhancing local livestock population, development of NF Model Demonstration Farms at Central Cattle Breeding Farms/ Regional Fodder Stations, provide market linkages at district/ block/ GP levels through convergence for local farmers’ markets, APMC (Agricultural Produce Market Committee) Mandis, Haats, Depots, etc. Additionally, students will be engaged in NMNF through the RAWE program and dedicated Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Diploma courses on NF.
