Price of Advantage
My daughter was studying economics for a class test.We started discussing about Welfare Economics pros ,cons why its powerful and the pitfalls of taking it too far.

A healthy educated,ethically and morally strong population is a gift and a countries blessing.A wise leader will encourage excellence and give a helping hand to those who need support.But the support needs to be timely,we’ll directed ,time bound and measurable in terms of human empowerment.Each one teach one ,each one help one is a good principle in many cases.

A wise leader already knows all this and is able to create a environment full of promise.
But the devious leader will give sops,benefits ,unfair advantage to promote not the weak but those who best stay weak,appear to be weak and who will encourage a society where mediocrities are encouraged,promoted,deliberately given place of honor so that the “boss” is not the smartest/most able or most wise but the one with the greatest boot licking,morally corrupt and blind to societal obligation.

A society built on lies always pays the price of advantage .Remove the advantage and the house falls down .But those who do the hard work,study,put in their sweat,are not grabbing power by any means and remember their social responsibility, will go far .Since they grow up without the crutch,they are resilient and antifragile.

For that you need courage.Reservations,doles need to empower in a way that those who receive them eventually voluntarily give them up after a time bound period and help someone else too.
If you take advantage and don’t put in effort to be empowered you have to pay the price of that advantage. You will be forced to praise the fool and you will always be at the beck and call of the emperor/empress with no clothes!
