National Doctors Day is  in memory of Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy whose selfless service in healthcare  and nation building has inspired generations of medicos to follow in his path.

📅 Date: 1st July On this day Dr.B.C Roy’s birthday is marked as National Doctors Day.

A day-long programme has been organised to commemorate this special occasion and and the launch of the Doctors Day Souvenir 2026.

Distribution of educational support materials and fruits to approximately 500 students by the distinguished senior members of IMA Malda during the ongoing School Health Check-up Camp.

Installation of an Emergency Power Backup Facility (Inverter System) at the Home for Destitute Women, R.K. Mission Road, Malda.

Followed by lunch  and interaction with the residents of the Home.

A blood donation camp and felicitation of young acheivers of our secondary board exams 2026 is planned for the evening.

Incidentally his death anniversary too falls on this day.IMA Malda branch believes in “Together for Better Health.

Our School Health Program was manned by our Pediatricians who came forward selflessly to make this day special.Building healthier future is not just tokenism but a way of life at IMA Malda .

Another event was installation and inauguration of a backup power facility at an Urban homeless shelter.

Blood donation is the most selfless donation and our IMA members came forward enthusiastically to help make tgis event possible.

IMA Malda also felicitated district toppers of class ten board exam .

The day was long ,but the smiles on the faces we serbe made it worthwhile.

Becoming a doctor is a dream,but being able to serve is a blessing.
