I published and co-authored a book with my daughter. Technically she wrote it, and I helped her structure, rewrite, and conclude the final details.
I also worked as her developmental editor, and that was fulfilling. Here’s the book she published. It’s free on Kindle unlimited.
The Library Ghost is the book we wrote . Read all about it here.
Now coming to my ebook’s in the mystery adventure for an 8-13-year-old section short story, and I enjoyed writing it. That’s coming out soon and you are amongst the first to know.
The best part about short stories is that they need to be fast and make you race through the book. My daughter is a voracious reader and loves mysteries. So my book in this genre had its first beta reader ready. She gave me her feedback, “Mommy, I want to know what A and R do next!: If that’s not all, she even gave me tips for painting the illustrations for the book.
So why am I telling you all this? It’s because Ebooks changed how I read. Our bookshelves are quite a few. But in homes, you need to stop constantly buying books once in a while, right?
I ran out of cupboards and shelves. It’s not pretty when your hubby gives you that look for having piles of books everywhere. I got my Kindle and my anybooks app and my phone filled with ebooks.
Ebooks help me read as many books as I want anywhere, anytime, with or without an internet connection. My phone is my digital world.
I read on it, write on it, publish my blog posts, create a video, and everything in between. Ebooks are a lifesaver for bookworms like me. I read multiple books at the same time for different reasons. That’s when the Ebooks help.
The best part is you can read pdfs on any device, Kindle any device, and you can sync them, and life is good. I am a lifelong learner, and no human can answer all my questions. But my books never complain, when I go searching for answers there.
If anything is worth learning and doing in this world, there will be a book about it. I learn best from books. When I want to underline books, I highlight them if it’s an ebook. If I want my daughter to one day read it, I buy the paperback or hardcover.
The best way to raise a reader is to be a reader as a parent. That part of parenting was easiest for me. The tricky part is to remember you need to get other work done besides reading. Imagine I read about painting too. But somehow, I learn best when I read and understand. Books are treasures in all forms. I have several of my books in the Kindle Unlimited library, and you should check them out now!

I also am running out of Space and I know E-Books is the way to go but I love feeling the way a page feels in my hand and will keep purchasing books and then donate them when I finish reading them That is if I can make myself give them away.

It is not coming to me as a surprise that your daughter wrote a book. Talented daughter of a talented mother.Well, I agree that ebooks have numerous advantages over paperback but somehow I can’t read an ebook.
Foe the space constraint, I ususally donate books that are just one time read and help someone else.

Amrita, do you sleep? ๐ Seriously, it is delightful that you have such a range of interests. I’m just moving into ebooks, both pdf and kindle, and I’ve been giving away my physical books by the dozens. I ran out of space! ๐
