This post is in the form of Q and A where the Q s are by Blogchatter and the answers are mine.

Q1.What’s a stereotype around being an artist/creative that you’ve heard too often? #Blogchatter
A.Of the tortured unhappy artist. No one talks about the happy artist. But for me I am happy writing or painting and it’s an instant pick me up for Me ! #Blogchatter
Plus the true artist doesn’t need money. Its difficult if not impossible to create on an empty stomach .
Q2. How does the pressure to create affect you as an artist?
I ignore it.#Blogchatter
That’s the reason this is my 10th year blogging and 4 year painting. October 2024 is going to be the 10th blog birthday.
Q3. We love our #BlogchatterRetreats to unwind and connect with like-minded creatives. This year we’re having it in Kolkata:
theblogchatter.com/campaign-regis…
How in your experience collaboration with a community can help an artist?
It’s wonderful to find a community who can grow together and help each other. The reason I am tweeting #Blogchatter since 2017 .The best Blogging platform in India.I have been part of a few and this is easily the best.
Q4. How do you see social media shaping the identity and visibility of artists now as compared to before? #Blogchatter
A4 The organic reach is tough .The algorithm is tweaked to help the Platforms make money and you get sucked into sm addiction .
Whether it translates into income is something for other people to answer. My blog and my books are still my first choice.
#Blogchatter
Q5. As a creative, how has your understanding of being a “successful artist” evolved?
#Blogchatter
A5 I think I realized the biggest part of being successful as an artist or as a Doctor is being happy doing what you love and helping people .Art and the artist both should spread joy .That’s my understanding #Blogchatter
Q6. We all fall prey to imposter syndrome as artists. What do you do to overcome it?
#Blogchatter
A 6 Watch my daughter sketching and having fun .Creating joyfully with no agenda is my way of beating imposter syndrome #Blogchatter

Memories of a garden…
Every day a few flowers bloom.
A few flowers die and fall to the ground.
Every day a new seed sprouts.
Every day a leaf falls .
But Every day we all still do what we are born to do .
Cycle of life and the work we do.
To do ,what we are born to do.
Karma is Dharma and that’s something the garden knows .
Making things easy for yourself is the first step in doing stuff regularly. All women juggle multiple roles, plus we love things pretty .That makes us very strict critiques of our own work and worth.
The first step is to step down from the hamster wheel .
Accept you can only do so much.
Accept life and home are like a painting .It’s your WIP.
It’s your chance to add the glitter of gold or not.
It’s your chance to make it abstract or realistic.
It’s your chance to add colours or go black and white.
It’s your choice to stay within the borders or paint outside .
It’s your choice to choose red or green or a little bit of the rainbow.
Whatever you paint ,it’s unique .It’s your life on the canvas.
Your home, your garden, your work, your art ,your story, your entire life is a rich tapestry of how to knit your life with different threads of experience. It’s your legacy .Make it great.
This is the water apple tree in my village garden. The first fruit of the season is the most awaited and we couldn’t wait to eat it plus make a reel!Look what happened !But luckily no harm done.
Easy fruit tree to grow is the water apple .The only downside, birds and monkeys love it too.Its only 1300 square feet and it helps me grow fruits, veggies and spices !I never thought I would be a food grower ,but it was one of the most blessed decisions. I am sharing this because #CauseAchatter 2024 is about the little steps I am taking to live life better.

If All The Kings Had Queens on their Thrones is an iconic song by Ava Max and its a favorite song to listen on a loop .But today I am not here to talk about how ground breaking and inspiring the song is.
But seriously if all the Kings remember to support their Queens the world would be a beautiful place.
Plus there would be BALANCE!
Giving a shout out to all men who understand this and practice this in their life.
The problem though is not all kings or Queens are made equal. Some men consider women are inferior. Some consider its just how we dress or the makeup we use.Its more than that and is infact the balance part is the reason the world exists
It’s Purush – Prakriti.
It’s the yin-yan.
It’s the perfect balance .
It’s the sky and earth.
It’s the strength and agility.
It’s fierceness and forgiveness.
It’s about making the world better together.
Protecting the female and feminine spaces in sports ,work, education and life is important .Representation is important in the right category .Forgetting that we are the true Queens and Nari #Shakti is real starts with understanding what makes a woman a woman.
There’s place for everyone under the sun.But I won’t be pushed to accept what’s not right .It’s a good thing the world is getting better at understanding that and has stopped the fake narrative. Big fan of J.KRowlings .Only she could have done this.

Oops I am rooting for the trees (couldnt resist the pun) again!
When you don’t cut trees…there’s more shade ,there’s more humidity in air,the local temperature is cooler and you don’t suffer from unrestrained hot days.West Bengal is reeling under a heat wave with claims of it being hotter than desert cities and that’s scary .
There’s Zillion Reasons I Love Nature But This One Tops The List!
https://healthwealthbridge.com/zillion-reasons-i-love-nature-but-this-one-tops-the-list/
But even if you are not a nature person(it would be strange because you are part of nature) you understand the logic ,right
It’s important to plan urbanization with care to prevent cities becoming unlivable .I am a city girl now living in a small town visiting a villlage and mango orchard on weekends. Its hot obviously everywhere but it’s always coolest under the Mango tree.
Plan Reforestation if you can get a group of like minded friends and or family.
Prevent cutting down trees, instead plan projects around trees.
Talk about it.
Support more people doing the work.
You can give my blog a follow if you like the nature projects I am doing.

Places which make me happy are always full of trees, plants and just the right ambience. The green ambience helps me feel one with nature.I have zillion reasons to love nature ,but this one Tops the list!
Nature makes me really happy.
I forget my worries, petty irritations ,the ten- yea-plan worries.Every other unhappy thought takes a back seat.Anything that takes away stress and worry from daily living is something I have always tried to embrace.Nature also helps me escape from the maze of thoughts going around in a loop.Nature helps me prevent self destroying negative thoughts.
Nature embraces me just the way I am.She helps me do more, with what I have.Mother nature truly loves unconditionally. When you love someone ,you take care of them.My plant friends have always looked out for me .They give me the strength to do what I do .
Last summer I was wondering how to spend more time in nature without suffering a sunstroke? The answer was literally blowing in the wind and we found a mango orchards close to our Nature Project plot and life is better, even in summer.
It’s cool under a mango tree even when it’s burning hot outside.Just visit a mango orchard in summers in Malda to understand the amazing shade bearing property of a big tree.Since it’s also a fruit tree it’s my favorite kind of tree to plant. But what if you don’t want a fruit tree but a flower tree? Then the Gulmohars,Yellow Ticoma and even the Big Bougainvillea trained to climb on a metal support gives plenty of shade and is stunning to look at.
In the video you will see the gorgeous trees from Rabindrasarobar lake ,an iconic Kolkata lakefront stones throw away from the home where I grew up.
Then there’s Rajkutir a beautiful property in Kolkata where the food and decor are both stunning.
Then it’s the Siliguri @mayfairsiliguri an absolutely breath-taking resort with everything curated with care .
The first one is absolutely free to visit and enjoy and the other two will need a budget ,but all the three embraces a nature first approach which will leave you refreshed.
