Use Your Heart to Know Your Heart. This World Heart Day while the world gets faster and busier every day, it’s important for you to truly listen to your heart and slow down.
If you wait for repeated adrenaline and dopamine rush to feel satisfied, your body will never have a chance to heal. This #WorldHeartDay 2023 we are celebrating the power of your heart to know what’s truly good for your HEART.
Your intuition about what is good for you,is not the same as what you want for fun. The things that are good for you may be difficult to identify at first if you believe in a rush to the top.
Calm down and try to remember when you felt calmest as well as happiest.That’s the mindset and space for which you should strive for heart health everyday.
Simple things first.
Say Yes to these Habits
- Fresh fruits, vegetables,locally grown food both plant and animal products.
- 4 litter of water daily
- Sleep 7 to 8 hours
- Exercise every day (moderate level for 40 minutes daily or 225 minutes weekly ). Walking is the simplest. Try a game of badminton, tennis, go swimming, hiking anything, just get moving. Include yoga practice daily.
- Include probiotics like dahi in your diet
- Be outdoors around green plants daily for 10 minutes or an hour at least weekly.
- Meet up with friends who have a positive health approach to life and choose your company with care.
- Improve workplace health
- Start a hobby that helps you relax. Paint, write, sing, dance, craft, sew, cook, carpentry, the sky is no longer the limit.
- Travel to nature-friendly places.
- Spend time with family daily.
- Give back to the community
- Make a plan for a creative life
Say NO To
- Tobacco
- Alcohol
- Recreational Drugs
- Late nights
- Processed food.
Control
- Screen time
- Overwork
- Lazy life
- Bad influence
- Stressful people
- Clutter
- Excessive shopping
- Eating out
- Overspending
Keep a watch on your
- Blood pressure
- Stabilize blood sugar
- Check your lipid profile,liver function and kidney function
- People around you
- Lowering daily stress
- Improving daily wellness

What a great topic Amrita! I’ve always followed the no list, never smoked, drank, do drugs and….well the staying up late needs some work on. LOL I also love summer because I eat so many fresh vegetables from our tiny garden. I have a freezer full to go for part of the winter so hopefully it will keep my heart ticking! Great to see you back in the challenge.
