I like Thanksgiving. It’s a brilliant way to reinforce all the good that the universe blesses us with. This Thanksgiving I solved a big problem with my website and that made me happy. I am happy to do what I do. I am grateful for, my own health,my family’s health, and our wellbeing.I am thankful to the creator community online, for helping me stay happy .If not for them ,this website would have wound up long back.
It takes a creator world to support a creator and in the Age of Aquarian,it’s wonderful to be a creator.
But it’s a tough year too.We count our blessings and wonder when all this will end.But if we are a sum total if our experiences then this year and the last has given us powers,we never thought we had.
During 2016 and 2017 I made a lot of friends in the blogging world. Mayuri(srimiri), Deepa(Kreativemommy),Tina (Twinklingtina),Geethica(thoughtsbygeethica),Dipika(gleefulblogger),Atul(Socialmaharaj). The best part Blogchatter,Twitter and Inatagram helped us support each other.
Tina and I had also started a Thankful Thursday weekly blog hop which Mayuri and Deepa joined in 2017. Those two years were crucial for finding out what I could do and couldn’t when it came to blogging. Blogchatter was the community that glued us together. It continues to do so.
2020 and 2021 helped me find my artist friends on Instagram. Just like my blogger friends my artist friends helped me keep painting when Tangi came to an end, when the pandemic tested my resolve when I thought I couldn’t write anymore my painting helped me as a childhood friend. The one you can talk to for ages even if you haven’t met for over a decade. That’s the Tgf community on Instagram.
The one who helps you be who you are,is a friend for life.
In 2021 I faced some online bullying and two friends I met online Martha(Marthareviews) and Paul(who hosts Ultimate blog challenge )helped me manage the problem. That blogging community is one of the best.I am doing the Ultimate blog challenge this month and it’s their support that has kept, me going.
Two weeks back my entire family fell sick. Fever and a horrible cough. We got better within a week. My family and friends sent food, shopped for us, and called us keeping tabs on us as we limped back to normalcy. The power of family is what humanity is all about.
The last two years have taught me the power of resilience. Just when I want to throw in the towel, I see my daughter trying her hula-hoop for the nth time and I know I can’t give up.
My health is a blessing. My family is my strength. A roof over, my head, food to fill use , and a community of supporting creatives when I write and paint to help me learn. What more can I want?
Then you my dear readers, you have made this blog what it is.I stumbled through the learning, writing, creating ,every step of the way .But you read those posts,I thought only my daughter will one day read. Then I knew .I knew about the super powers I already have .This ability to create .Words and Art out of nothing.Stories from whispers,Paintings from memories.Thank you for letting me create.
Did I tell you I am a part of Canva Champions too? That’s my digital play ground .
Two plugins that helped me this year are WP Rocket and Migrate Guru .The first optimized my site and the second helped me migrate my hosting.More on that later.
