The amount of washing families with babies have is significant. So sometimes you use what you can get.

Ezee

Ezee’s no soda formula is the reason it’s a family favorite for washing clothes for other family members. Its neutral pH and micro conditioners, which prevent shrinking and keep fabric soft, fluffy. • Wash soiled nappies, and clothes separate from daily use clothes.
• Soak babies’ inner clothes, baby sheets, and pillowcases in plain clean water for some time after washing clothes thoroughly to remove any chance of residual soap. Baby lick and suck everything close to their mouth due to their suckling reflex. So, it’s best to take extra care. This is especially important when using any of the non-baby-specific detergents.
• If the detergent has a strong fragrance, you don’t want it.

They are inert and lock in moisture. This was a popular poduct .Its a petroleum derived product .It is used for skincare after hydro-treatment and solvent extraction. These processes lower the PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) and possible carcinogenic quotient. But the diverse nature of mineral oil source and lack of transparency, regulations, and accountability makes this a slippery slope when choosing mineral oil.

The other factor you and I, as parents, can not ignore is the ecological burden of using mineral oil. It’s not eco-friendly. Also, they often contain artificial fragrance, which is a strict no. But if that’s the only option for you for whatever reason, choose a high-quality product.

Three rules to buy safe toys:

1)Buy toys that are easy to clean are those which can be washed. This is the most essential rule for me. Even though soft toys are cute and loved by all, I didn’t allow them anywhere near my baby. They are dust mite catchers and cause allergies. They are not easy to clean at all.
I love getting Lego blocks, cars, trains, clothes-puppets, clothes-dolls, and playhouses that are dunk and clean. That’s how I manage cleaning toys.

2) I buy safe ones according to age. I buy those which can be cleaned with soap and water.

3)I avoid toys with sharp parts, small parts, and need button batteries, disc batteries, or batteries for that matter. I fear batteries near my baby. They are dangerous.

But even when you pick and choose toys feeding bottles and water bottles, cleaning liquids need to be selected with care too.

When I joined my hospital duties after my maternity leave, the biggest worry I had was how my baby will be? I had a daycare nanny. My mom was taking care of the feeding and baby care. But one problem I had was the baby bottle washing.

We always worried about the leftover baby milk becoming a bacteria hub. We were concerned about unwanted traces of liquid soap. I so wish I had this nature-based liquid Mother Sparsh cleansers back then.

How to use Liquid cleansers to clean and sterilize feeding bottles:

• Do not use the sink directly to wash baby stuff.
• Take a big container. Fill it with fresh tap water. Use a few drops of Mother Sparsh liquid cleansers until it froths, not too soapy.
• Throw away the milk left over in the baby bottle. Wash it with regular water. Then dunk it in the soapy bath.
• Wash taking care to thoroughly clean individual parts. Use the leftover soapy water for cleaning other vessels. That way water is not wasted,
• After this, again rinse with fresh water, then drink water taking care to remove all soapy residue.
• Now check the bottle manufacturer’s instructions for the exact steps to sterilize. We used a glass bottle(by Chicco) that could be boiled or microwaved(six minutes) for sterilizing.
• Store safe
• Keep the bottles in a covered vintner safely on a separate shelf.

Remember :
• No touching the nipple while assembling the bottle.
• Always wash your hands before you dismantle the different parts.
• Always discard milk if not finished within 30 minutes in a hot country like India.

I used eco-friendly feeding bottles and nowadays use stainless steel water bottles for my daughter. Be careful about your product choices for your baby. What goes into your baby’s body is your responsibility. So what it’s made of, is as important as well as how to clean it. I always read cleaning instructions before buying all my baby stuff. Keeping them safe is our top goal.
