My blog birthday is on the 13 th of October. That’s tomorrow.I have written about many books which have helped rewire my thinking.Today I will share one more book summary. If you want to be really financially free, you have to read this book.

Growing up my maternal uncles and aunts, helped when we faced financial pitfalls due to my father’s biz interests.

From those family catastrophes, I learned 3 things

1)You never risk your health, roof, or your future.For anything.Never.Some people earn a lot, lose a lot They are caught in a cycle of insecurity.The more insecure you are more money you can lose.

2)Always have a plan B.In my case I love Plan Cs too!

3)Market testing is a must before launching anything.

THE TRICK TO MONEY IS HAVING SOME BY STUART WILDE

This book is not a “make money” hack.It’s a book which helps you redefine your attitude towards money.Your mindset is crucial if you want to be financially free.I am not talking about being rich, I am talking about Freedom!The book is 198 pages and 9 chapters.

The first chapter gives you a knockout punch.It tells you that Mother Teresa or Saint Teresa was a multimillion dollar business enterprise!She was supported by the immensely wealthy Catholic Church.

Saint Teresa was a great person and worked for the poor.But she used her energy to make the Government help .So her budget was always limitless.Since she had a quest, all her work had been blessed.When your work truly makes a difference, you have “God force” helping you.That energy of your thoughts, make things happen.

That’s the magic message in the book.If you are doing what you love, plus it’s creating value, you just need to have the right plan to be financially free !

*If money wasn’t a problem, what would you be doing now?

When I first read The Trick to Money Is Having Some By Stuart Wilde 3 and a half years back I was afraid.Afraid of earning money.Then what will happen if I don’t have it later?Afraid that people may borrow.That happens even when you don’t have money to lend!Afraid of “getting used ” to money.

Afraid of needing money.

According to Stuart Wilde

“Abundance will never be a factor of how much money one has.

Rather it’s always a factor of how one feels about what money one does have.”

The author explains how money is a form of energy.Just like the bountiful nature this energy is all around you.You just have to attract it.Powerful right?

Love , happiness, and opportunities are the other forms of abundance

To be free you have to be adaptable.

No amount of money will make you comfortable, if you are not comfortable with yourself.

*Acceptance (of self) is the foundation of receiving.

*People have needs and when you meet those needs you serve them. Not only because you save them the hassle of looking elsewhere -but also because what you offer has a unique specialness.

*You have to charge properly for your product or service.Always remember value is important.

*Money is a major psychic symbol of security. Every thought you have that endorses your insecurity affects your money -making abilities.

*Money flows towards stability and away from its converse.

*You have a divine right to choose whom you will play with and under what circumstances.(my favorite)

*By eliminating any energy drag, the positive things in your life will resonate faster and faster

*There’s no other reason for being in business than to count money.

*Manufacturing, creating, selling, P.R, and shipping are not business ,collecting and counting money is the business.

After reading this book I promised myself three things

1)I will be financially free, even if it means I have to learn Chinese (I am sure it’s going to be easier than that! )

2)Avoid lending and borrowing money(but I have a home loan, couldn’t be avoided)

3)Relax and not be afraid of earning ethically. Work hard and work smart!

The metaphysical world is powerful.If you can train your mind to dream it step by step , you can do whatever your heart desires in reality.

Distance education has made adult education a wonderful possibility.If there is one thing India needs today is educated skilled human resource.Because the saddest thing in the world is an ineffectively educated, unemployable adult population.

The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.” – The Lion King

The past is funny .

It’s the history from which you must learn and also unlearn.It’s the soil which has helped you become who you are.The past does hurt in many parts .But I am grateful to it too.My scars and my flaws make me appreciate my life now, even more.

When I want to crib about small things I focus on how much better life is now.

If you are reading my post I am sure its the Universe who guided you.From around 13 years of age I was too smart for my own boots.At least that was the popular perception .I preferred to think I was just born old, wise and smart.Which version you agree with,will depend on how much you like me.

I knew that the only way to live life on your own terms was, if you earned your own keep.When you are financially independent,you have a choice,if not, you don’t.

Researching popular higher study options and cross matching it with my own aptitudes and goals,being a doctor suited me to a T .But I will be the first one to tell you that even then, I haven’t stopped learning new skills .

I am actively pursuing courses to learn new skills and upgrade others.I try to #Bebetterthanmyself in every little thing.

I also believe in value pay. Remember the value of the course you are taking and how that will help you.Spending a little money for the right course will be well worth it.

If you have not completed your studies it’s not too late.Learn from it and make it up now.

If you haven’t become financially independent its not too late.

If you haven’t applied all that you learned it’s not too late.

When I was growing up my father’s varied business interests often put our families financial logbook in the red. Our blessings came in the form of our maternal uncles, who were forever there, not only to support us(me and my sister), in our educational pursuits but every other way

My mom was a bit different. She was a working woman, which was why she understood things about financial independence ,which few do. I am talking about India in the eighties, when working women had no perks at all. I had 3 things instilled in me:

1)Study hard

2)Get a good job

3)Live life debt free.

India was still full of hope and good cheer. Corruption if present, was not so blatantly exposed. The social media phenomenon was still in the making. The family was everything, it still is.

Education is the biggest blessing and the only way to a meaningful life. I am talking about both mainstream education and that which we get by reading things other than textbooks .I was never told I can’t dream because I was a girl. My mom told me to study hard and pray all the time. I tried to make it fun. There’s really no other way than learning and asking God for his blessings.

I often hear people complain about the study pressure, competitiveness at school .I believe all children need to learn. Most often that doesn’t happen easily , because of the skewered teacher-student ratio .So what happens is, they get scared. Parents get upset. But life is not easy. The less we learn, less we can cope with challenges All the subjects we learn at school ,go a long way in making us think out of the box. YOu should never miss the forest to staring at a tree.

India is a country with a soul. That’s why people come here to meditate. The west is suffering from the loss of family structure, where there’s no one to share your sadness with. What’s worse , you have no one to share your joys with.India has the best of both worlds. We love our families. Even when we don’t get along, we try .We also believe in higher powers guiding our way. We believe in education. Because that’s the only way our children have a chance.

Subsidised education in Premier Government Institutions

Only in India is the best medical colleges, engineering colleges, still heavily subsidized. I studied at Asia’s oldest premier medical College, Calcutta Medical College for Rs 250 per year. That was the annual fees in 2005.My relatives helped with the books, but education luckily didn’t cost my mom her peace of mind. Where else in the world could this have been possible?

Why the sense of indebtedness?

Probably that’s the reason I feel a sense of deep indebtedness to my motherland India. For making me self-sufficient. For being able to be financially independent. For giving me the ability to help people. If not for that, I would probably not understand the need for working in a Government Medical College, for helping train the next generation of doctors. Doctors who will compete with doctors, trained in Private Medical colleges of questionable repute, with degrees that have cost them a crore.

If not for being an Indian I would not have understood the need for the right to quality education. That educating one more member of your family, can change the socio-economic profile forever. In this regard quality education access is needed for everyone. That’s the kind of equality, which takes countries ahead. But if merit is compromised, then society will implode. It’s not sustainable. Darwin’s law of Survival of the fittest works at multiple levels.

The cost of post-secondary education in USA & Canada makes getting a college degree inaccessible for many students Outstanding student debt in the United States totals in trillions.

If this was the case in India, many like me would never have made it as a doctor, debt-free!

When I started writing three and a half years back people asked me about the wealth part of healthwealthbridge.com.It’s, not something I talk a lot about. But I feel two common worries common to people all over the world is health and wealth challenges. That’s why when I share a story of an entrepreneur, a blogger, a writer, I am sharing with you the secret various way you can invite wealth into your life without a headache. This doesn’t mean I am saying its going to be easy making money writing or blogging or starting a business Its going to be very difficult. But its possible.Thats why people like you and me who want to work hard and learn to have hope.

On my Blog today I have one such woman who writes and blogs the way you and I breathe.

Why did you want to write a book?

Just like riding a bicycle, writing a book is a skill that you can master with focused practice and repetition. Before I started writing books, I never considered myself to be a sellable author. For me writing a book is the fastest way to gain credibility, establish yourself as an expert in your field, and build a professional reputation. It can also be used as a promotional item and marketing tool for your business.

It provides an opportunity for to write and publish something on a subject that is important and that you will have for the rest of your life. You can express your creativity while sharing your message with others. Chances are if you are passionate about a certain subject, other people are too. And by writing a book about that subject, you can help others in their own lives and, in turn, help yourself achieve a more fulfilled life.

What is this book about?

Midnight Musings is my 4th book- 2nd poetry attempt and first in Haiku. I am happy to call myself a successful poetess. I experimented with Haiku and I am happy with the result. I wrote haiku because I love noticing what’s going on around me and within me. I feel each day offers gifts of insight and moments worthy of contemplation which I tried to bring it alive through my poems. All the haiku’s I wrote happened between 12 am – 2 am. I write during nights. Every poem has a story behind it. It took me more than 62 nights to write them and all these nights have been special for me.

The most challenging bit was handling Haiku with alphabets Q-X-Z. As always self-brainstorming session helped me crack that challenge.

Who helped you write the book?

Youtube and Google. Every book of mine has been my own hard work and I usually don’t take anyone’s help in content or editing, but for designing/technical things I do seek help.

Tell me a little about your writing habits. (How many hours a day, how do you proofread, edit, format to help those who are inspired by you.)

I don’t really have a method to the way in which I write, I tend to just write when I feel inspired. I think that’s the best way to really connect to your material, and go on a journey with your words. And unless I am writing for others, I prefer to not outline explicitly. There’s something about entering the unknown in writing that is an important part of the creative process for me. Once I feel satisfied I hit publish and share the post.

I proofread it myself and also edit/format and everything. By chance after publishing if someone points out any mistakes, I do re-read and make the changes immediately. I help each and everyone who is inspired by me and who is not inspired by me. Off late, I have realized people have started to hate me a lot than before ( hate messages/tweets/group DM bitching) and the irony is these people come to me for help and I do my best for them without any grudges/hatred.

Tell me a little about your background. Your story

I began blogging in 2004, anonymously with a couple of experimenting pen names, till I zeroed in Novemberschild. Since then till today I have set up and edited many blogs, managed online communities and blogged professionally. My writing has developed from personal musings to social issues, reviews, creative writing and digital content for businesses and more.

14 years I have been in the Blogosphere, and over the time, I have been christened with many nicknames by co-bloggers and friends – Blogging Queen, VIP Blogger, Veteran Blogger and many more. I was for sure one of the earliest users of the Indian digital space who was loyal to Yahoo for 7 years and has been more loyal to Google (Gmail & other products) since 2005. I’ve been writing since the year 1996 – prose, poetry, stories, and articles. This blog proves the unconditional love that I have for writing.

Born in Delhi, living in Hyderabad, I am a perfect mix of both the North-South cultures. I have a Doctorate degree along with few other 5-6 degrees in different subjects. I write about topics as assorted as art, relationships, style, pop culture, genders and writing (as an expertise). I have been featured in many websites/blogs not just as a Blogger but that as a Writer, Editor, Author, and Brand Consultant. My content is globally on many platforms in form of updates, blog posts, guest notes, and photographs. When you started blogging did you have a plan of writing a book?

No, I never had any intentions of writing a book when I started blogging. It happened in 2016 and I am bitten by the bug of writing books and I want to write at least 10 of them.

In 2017 I was a part of this carnival and it helped me making my ebook famous and I got really amazing reviews. Off course reading reviews from other bloggers is the best part. In 2018 I am not part of this as carnival but still, I picked up 5 books.

Yes. I am very happy with the way my blog, writing career, and books have reached the milestone and the result has been very encouraging and positive.

Mommy hacks are golden nuggets.They are the wisdom distilled over centuries by mothers forever picking up after their children.Women then didn’t have it easy.But they didn’t need to juggle the extra guilt of our generation.

To work away from home or not?Who will take care of my baby?How to cook, clean, work and still have energy left over to play?Are you a teacher?Lawyer ?Doctor?Businesswoman, SAHM,WAHM, going to office mom?Wherever you are, whatever you do, I am sure you are a super busy, multitasking, hardworking creative woman.No less than our ten handed beautiful Goddess Maa Durga!

My daughter had once drawn her version of Maa Durga and put a laptop and stethoscope in two of her hands the 3rd hand holding her little hand and said,

Mumma she is just like you!

Oh, I felt happy that day.But I don’t feel that great when I actually do all this at the same time and feel like the proverbial headless chicken.Women are the epitome of power.Some days you don’t want to be powerful,just want to let things be and someone else take charge.

Thinking you don’t have a creative bone in your body?Well, I can guarantee you are forever finding new ways to stash those building blocks, the never-ending stacks of drawing pages, crayons and what not!

I have simple home rules,hacks to keep my sanity intact.Its hanging by the thread ,but its still there!

Mommy Rules for Sanity

Maximum of 1 board game or two toys out at a time.If you don’t put it away after playing, you don’t get to play with it next time.Your books and toys shouldn’t be standing in the middle of the room, for mommy to fall over.This obstacle race is not fun.

Study time if you are good, mommy will be more likely to be good during playtime.Life is a balance.What you do now will affect your next.Important to explain as early as possible.Otherwise, children end up thinking, crying and telling Daddy, will take care of all the Worlds problem.(I wish this happened the way I want.But it doesn’t always go according to my plan!)

Help mommy shell the peas.She helps with kitchen duty too.That’s stretching it a little.What I mean is she puts her cups and dishes in the proper place and not just anywhere.She is also learning, that when mommy is cooking, she needs both her eyes and hands on the work at hand.Otherwise, everything can get burnt!So strict rule this one.

Don’t talk when mommy is cooking.She needs to focus!.

Whenever there’s an insurmountable problem, I tell her to pray to God.It helps to make the little one realize there’s a higher power and teaches her patience.After all, prayers are a part of life.I find they work as mindmaps of what we want .My daughter is 5 years now .I manage work and home ,just barely!I manage as long as my hubby is around and all the people who help me are around.That means I pray all the time!
