Graduate from AFMC,ex-army medico Anvika, was tall with lean muscles and strength of steel in arms. She was trained to kill with her bare arms. But looking at her you wouldnโt know. When dressed in a saree she was often mistaken for a model, till you looked into her eyes. They were chips of black ice which could flash fire.
Chapter 1
She put her favorite Glock 43 in her gold purse along with her red MAC lipstick and husband Ronojit looked amused as he put on his cufflinks.
Darling you are dressed to kill anyways, why are you taking the baby with you?
Anvika made a perfect pout and finished touching up her lipstick.
You know I have a sixth sense for murder and today it’s doing a somersault!
It’s a private party for heaven’s sake! There’s hardly going to be a need for this, said Ronojit.
With a flick of her shoulder length silky hair, Anvika made a face!
I hope not.
Chapter 2
Anvika you look gorgeous but you are late!
Smiled Sharmistha, as she ushered them in.Sharmistha was her school friend and the only one she was still in touch with.
All the other guests have arrived including Priyanka
said Sharmistha with a sigh.Priyanka was Anils ex-wife and not Sharmistha’s favorite person.Strange thought Anvika, why invite her?Suddenly Anvika felt the familiar tingling at the nape of her neck. The feeling when death was entering. She surreptitiously opened her purse, but Ronojit’s hand tightened on her arms and he looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
Calm down ,he whispered. That was a sound of a car back firing
Smiling back at him Anvikaโs face softened.
Aneee……..el
Sharmisthaโs scream pierced the silence of the warm evening.A woman was lying face down in front of the double glass door leading onto the patio, in a pool of blood.Ronojit rushed forward to catch Sharmistha who had fainted and was falling.Anvika sighed, took a deep breath and went forward to see if the woman lying there could be helped.Taking care not to step on the pool of blood she checked the pulse, then gently laid down the hand again.
Taking out her cell phone she punched 100.
