Writing a letter to the Universe?Does it work?
I wrote this blog post several years back ,but I think this is something that needs revisiting. You cannot ignore the power of your own mind.If you can dream it and plan it(and it doesn’t harm anyone),you can do it.
I dreamt of gardening, trees and my own kitchen garden and since 2021 it’s happening a little bit at a time. Its wild when I think about it ,but true .

10 Unexpected Lessons from10 Years of Blogging on Healthwealthbridge
I started Healwealthbridge 10 years ago.It was supposed to be a way to help people take back control over their health.Because health is your true wealth. But as it turned out my readers and my blogger friend helped me learn to live better.Blogging helps you learn.
Human beings seek community. They want to be around those they can trust. They know health is important.But.It’s a big but they still buy that packet of chips .Why don’t restaurants mention the amount of salt, sugar and oil in the food .Some restaurants mention the hero ingredients but not these.Plus there’s no way to find out about the type of oil used.Shouldn’t we be avoiding those highly processed seed oils and palm oil too?But most eateries don’t share ingredients, let alone their quantity. But as a doctor blogging I could share all that I know without it being unsustainable. I wanted my blog to be sustainable. Passive income is a thing I am still exploring but my blog is definitely my side income ,a part of my life but not the centre of it.The people in my life…they are at the centre of my life mandala.
I didn’t want to make things difficult for me by making itdifficult to maintain. That’s why I thought of writing on topics which came naturally to me while giving random gyan. That includes health ,wellness, making money and education. There were too many highly professional websites being maintained by hospitals, healthcare companies where the content is written by SME s and may or may not be reviewed by a Doctor.I wanted this to be about health care from the Indian middle class perspective .It needs to be affordable ,good quality, maintains dignity and humane.Tough things in the real world. But on the website I could do all that, without breaking the bank.Blogging is about giving back to the Community in a sustainable way.
But I couldn’t start typing in mother tongue ,though I wanted to.
I wasn’t sure about the audience reading blog or not.I knew nothing about blogs, blogging, wordpress,SEO,social media and was totally a novice about tech stuff online,But that didn’t stop me from starting blogging because it was the best way to get out of my mind.I was a new mom, with a new job in a new place and I was afraid I was not going to make it .I was clueless about being a mother ,the job meant stability but sleepless nights and other worries. The new place had its perks,It was close to my husband’s childhood home. The hospital where I worked was just a five minutes walk .In between the great adventure of being a mother exploring a new place and trying to build a career I felt out of sorts.I was looking for stability and the job didn’t feel like an ever-after thing .But wasn’t that what I always wanted?Or was it?
That’s why when I started reading Amy Lynn Andrews blog,Smart passive income by Pat Flynn and the inspired room.net by Melissa Michael’s I thought I knew the answer.I wanted a digital home.My virtual home in the clouds. It sounded funny and it always made me smile.I didn’t want to be only on momspresso and Womenโs โs Web.We know how they ended. It was sad .
It was also a wonderful way to make others smile when I told them about my blog.Blogging is a personal journey I am going through in public .
Blogging keeps me flexible.I am forever fumbling to learn some new tech or recollect about an old one and trying to organize the back end without going down a rabbit hole. Its a constant journey of dusting the cobwebs of my mind and reapplying the paint on my nails before I start typing.
Blogging helps me remember that showing up and taking a small step today puts you ahead of everyone ten years later.Showing up matters.
I finished a course on Digital Journalism by Reuters and if not for my interest in blogging, I would never have done it.Exploring the unknown is what life is about. You don’t know what’s going to happen next year, next month, tomorrow or even the very next second. If you are forever afraid of this that and everything in between, you will never be able to do anything meaningful.Walking the path which is calling to you is often a struggle. But looking back you will realize your struggle and your wins ,both made you who you are today. The bigger the challenge ,the stronger you become.Challeges and set backs are opportunities in disguise.
Knowing this is not enough.Keep reminding yourself of this .Over and over again. When you feel you want a soft life ,do something hard.Challenge yourself to learn a new skill ,mow the lawn, grow vegetables ,start a service business, write a book,Write a Poetry (which rhymes),learn a new language, declutter your wardrobe, repurpose the old dupatta…I could go on.This ability to stay curious is what makes healthwealthbridge.com work for me and it’s the reason I decided to do a soft launch of Healthwealthbridge online school some time back. It’s going to be a digital library and I have plans.
Happy tenth birthday Healthwealthbridge .You saw me through a decade .You helped me survive the pandemic lockdown and beyond. You helped me put down roots ,even if it’s online and you are the reason I was confident enough to write books and teach my daughter to write one too.
Thank you dear blog.Lets do some more good work. You taught me the value of persisting .

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the launching of the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) as a standalone Centrally Sponsored Scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.
The scheme has a total outlay of Rs.2481 crore (Government of India share โ Rs.1584 crore; State share โ Rs.897 crore) till the 15th Finance Commission (2025-26).
The Government of India has launched the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) to promote natural farming in mission mode across the country as a standalone Centrally Sponsored Scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmersโ Welfare.
Rooted in the traditional knowledge inherited from their forefathers, farmers will practise Natural Farming (NF) as a chemical free farming which involves local livestock integrated natural farming methods, diversified crop systems, etc. NF follows local agro-ecological principles rooted in local knowledge, location specific technologies and is evolved as per the local agro-ecology.
NMNF aims at promoting NF practices for providing safe & nutritious food for all. The Mission is designed to support farmers to reduce input cost of cultivation and dependency to externally purchased inputs. Natural farming will build & maintain healthy soil ecosystems, promote biodiversity and encourage diverse cropping systems to enhance resilience as suitable to the local agroecology are the benefits of natural farming. NMNF is launched as a shift to scientifically revive and strengthen agriculture practices towards sustainability, climate resilience and healthy food for farmer families and consumers.
In the next two years, NMNF will be implemented in 15,000 clusters in Gram Panchayats, which are willing, & reach 1 crore farmers and initiate Natural Farming (NF) in 7.5 lakh Ha area. Preference will be given to areas having prevalence of practising NF farmers, SRLM / PACS / FPOs, etc. Further, need-based 10,000 Bio-input Resource Centres (BRCs) will be set-up to provide easy availability and accessibility to ready-to-use NF inputs for farmers.
Under NMNF, around 2000 NF Model Demonstration Farms shall be established at Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), Agricultural Universities (AUs) and farmersโ fields, and shall be supported by experienced and trained Farmer Master Trainers. The willing farmers will be trained in Model Demonstration Farms on the NF package of practices, preparation of NF inputs, etc. near their villages in KVKs, AUs and practising NF farmersโ fields. 18.75 lakh trained willing farmers will prepare inputs like Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, etc. by using their livestock or procure from BRCs. 30,000 Krishi Sakhis/ CRPs will be deployed for awareness generation, mobilisation and handholding of willing farmers in the clusters. Natural Farming practices will help farmers to reduce input cost of cultivation and dependency on externally purchased inputs while rejuvenating soil health, fertility & quality and building resilience to climate risks like waterlogging, flood, drought, etc. These practices also reduce health risks from exposure to fertilisers, pesticides, etc. and provide healthy & nutritious food for the farmersโ family. Further, through Natural Farming, a healthy Mother Earth is bequeathed to the future generations. Through improvement of soil carbon content & water use efficiency, there is an increase in soil microorganisms and biodiversity in NF.
Farmers will be provided with an easy simple certification system and dedicated common branding to provide access to market their natural farming produce. Real time geo-tagged & referenced monitoring of NMNF implementation shall be done through an online portal.
Convergence with existing schemes and support structures of Government of India/ State Governments/ National & International Organisations shall be explored for enhancing local livestock population, development of NF Model Demonstration Farms at Central Cattle Breeding Farms/ Regional Fodder Stations, provide market linkages at district/ block/ GP levels through convergence for local farmersโ markets, APMC (Agricultural Produce Market Committee) Mandis, Haats, Depots, etc. Additionally, students will be engaged in NMNF through the RAWE program and dedicated Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Diploma courses on NF.

GO GREEN, PLASTIC IS OBSCENE-Skit
A fun skit highlighting the environmental impact of plastic bags. Join Riya as she spreads awareness about the importance of going green.
Skit made by Anuprita Misra and Oliviya Tanweer
Scene: Riyaโs mother calls her.
Mother: Riya! Come here.
Riya: Yes! I am coming.
(She comes into the kitchen)
Mother: Dear, can you run and get me potatoes and carrot from the nearby grocery store?
Riya: Ok, mother. (she said with a sigh.)
Scene: She goes to the grocery store.
Riya: Uncle, can you give me potatoes and carrots?
Shop keeper: Sure! I can!
Riya receives the items from the shopkeeper.
Riya: Donโt you have a cloth bag? Plastic bags pollute heavily, so I am against them.
Shop keeper: No, we donโt, we only use plastic bags because they are cheaper.
Riya: But they cause harm to our environment.
Shop keeper: See, miss, I tell people to bring their own bag from home if they donโt want a plastic one.
Riya: And what do they tell you?
Shop keeper: They say that they donโt want it but after that, I try to explain it to them, but they donโt
seem to understand! I prefer not to create any trouble because it is bad for business and often customers leave me.
Riya: Oh, I see.
Shop keeper: you are interested in making our surrounding clean so why donโt you bring a bag from the
next time?
Riya: no need for that. I will bring a cloth bag from my home now only.
(She walked home with a speed to get the cloth bag)
Scene: Riya sees a boy with a plastic bag throwing in the river.
Riya: Hey! Stop throwing that plastic.
Boy: (He turned around as he got startled and the plastic slipped out of his hand) Hey you scared
me!
Riya: Hey-were you throwing the plastic in the river?
Boy: What is your problem with me?
Riya: I donโt have any problem with you boy, I have a problem with you throwing the plastic.
Boy: By the way, my name is Arjun, not Boy.
Riya: Donโt throw the plastic bags in the river. They pollute the rivers and make it harmful for us to use.
(she said this as she got angry)
Boy: itโs none of your business (telling this he left)
(Riya then went home)
Scene: Riya goes to her home, and her mother sees her empty handed
Mother: where are the vegetable, Riya?
Riya: mother I came here to take my cloth bag.
Mother: But why?
Iโm against using plastic bags.
Taking the plastic bag would have saved you the trip.
Riya: I came here because I really donโt want the environment polluted!
No one understands the importance in our environment, she thought angrily as she left the house.
Scene: She reaches the shop after a long walk
Riya: Uncle, please give me the vegetables. (with handing her cloth bag to the Shop keeper)
Shop keeper: Sure! Take it!
Riya: thank you very much and please tell your customers not to use plastic bags.
Shop keeper: I will try my best for you.
Riya: Ok! Bye now!
(She went home from there)
Scene: She went home and gave the mother the vegetables
Riya: Here mother, take the vegetables.
Mother: Thank you, my dear!
(Riya then went up to her room.
Riya: Finally, I can rest here for a while.
She found a magazine article titled โHow to clean your surroundingsโ and sat up straight.
Mother: oh wow! But what is the plan?
Riya: mother sees we have two dustbins in our homes. One is biodegradable, the other isnโt, letโs buy big dustbins with gigantic signs and put it in our neighborhood.
Mother: Not everyone will use separate dustbins for throwing garbage.
If they wonโt, Iโll go to each neighborโs house and explain why we should throw.
Mother: Go as you like
Riya: Mother, letโs set the dustbins tomorrow early in the morning, before anyone comes to throw litter on the already dirty streets!
Mother: Ok, but we need to get the dustbins by this evening!
Riya: Yes! I totally forgot about that! Letโs go today at 5pm.
Mother: Ok!
Scene: Riya and her mother are getting ready to go outside.
Riya: Letโs go mother.
Mother: yeah! Letโs go.
(They got home after buying dustbins of different colors)
Riya: Iโm so tired now,
Mother: I am also super tired.
Scene: Riya and her mother get up early in the morning and set the dustbins in their
neighborhood.
Riya: Ah! Finally, it is done.
Scene: After two days, she saw no one is throwing the plastics in different dustbins.
Riya: Mother, I will start a campaign in the public park with my friends.
Mother thinks itโs a good idea, but it will require a significant time investment.
Riya: Whatever it takes, I will do it.
(she prepares for the campaign and calls her friends too to help her)
Scene: She and friends go to the public park and announce their project idea
Riya: We are deciding something. Everyone present here may express what they feel about it.
Raj: We have formed a group to collect and segregate the litter on the streets. Anyone willing may line up here and sign their names.
Also, you can make banners and poster to warn others of the dangers of single use plastic.
( About 10 people line up, others look disgusted)
Riya is a little disappointed
But she has faith and calls her friends
Next day: On Saturday
Riya: Mother- where are you? I want ribbon and tape for the banner. Do you have any?
Mother: Yes, here.(hands ribbon) How is your campaign going on?
Riya: Oh, well, actually. Me , Raj and 3 other friends of mine make 5 people- also yesterday 10 more people added their names. Raj has collected many posters today. Tomorrow we shall start the collecting of litter.
Mother: Impressive amount of work!
Next day:(Everyone gathers around Riya to hear the plan)
Riya: We can move on to the other streets once weโre done. Our goal is to finish at least half of the neighbourhood, making it litter free, by 2 pm.
One child: What a lot of work!
Another child: Hm-I already feel tired thinking about it!
Raj: Thinking like that prevents accomplishment. Come on !
(They set out together, and work hard till the neighbourhood is almost litter free.)
Random person: Hey! What are you doing messing around, being dirty?
Riya: Uncle, we are cleaning the neighbourhood
Random person: Why, thatโs something quite new
(he goes away)
Riya works even harder.
A half hour later
Raj: Oh finally! The job is done! (he sits on the street)
One girl: What are you doing , sitting there?
Raj: Nothing-we have worked hard, remember?
Girl: I guess-reasonable excuse.
Riya: We did it!
Everyone: *cheering*
MONDAY:
Riya and the others troupe around, shower their posters, shouting slogans
*they arrive at a playground with many people of their locality.*
Raj: EVERYONE KINDLY LEND YOUR EARS.
Riya: We are here to discuss the need of reducing single use plasticโs use, as it is very harmful and not everyone knows it.
Many of us show apathy towards the dangers of plastic pollution, littering without regard for the consequences. This pollution has devastating effects on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. The plastic debris injures and kills wildlife, either from being tangled or through ingestion. As the plastic decomposes, it leaches toxic chemicals that can harm both humans and animals alike.
Another friend of Riya: Instead of plastic bags , you can use ones of durable cloth, like jute. As plastic bags tear easily and have to be replaced by another. After a time, that one tears etc, etc.
Another boy: Did you know-all paper cups have a plastic lining inside of them-so they can hold liquid for long?
Raj: Use traditional earth cups or bring your own cup to avoid this.
EVERYONE together: GO Green to make India clean!
*crowd claps*
Riya gives a satisfied sigh.
Tuesday
Scene: children are going to school
Children: Wow! The road is litter-free!
(Riya being proud of her teammates and her, while watching other children go to school)
(She is walking home, dreaming and thinking of all the hard work she and her friends had done. โI wonder if all of it will pay off,โ )
(She is seeing that everyone in the neighbourhood has thrown their garbage in a separate bin and plastic in a separate bin)
Riya sees her work paid off!
STOP plastic-SAVE our Earth.

But those in power ,the politicians, the administrative people who pull the strings are safe in their anonymity. No one knows their exact role in the planning, implementation and execution of the gruesome crime. They are cloaked in an blanket sheet of protection. But most readers of thrillers know…there’s no perfect murder.
The person(s) who covered it up was good. They knew they couldn’t cover up the crime. So they did the next best thing … make a mess of it.
A giant knot of puzzles, clues ,false herrings, coverups which look like cover-up and are meant to throw you off the trail.
The entire protest machinery to be slowed down.
What’s at rest will remain at rest …inertia will work on people’s mind and the people of West Bengal will go back to their daily grind.
While the state machinery start putting the fear in the hearts of doctors(curtail their earning),students(academic punishment)in various ways.
What remains to be seen is whether the people of West Bengal are successful in getting their rights of quality education, and quality healthcare from those who want us to stay struggling for our roti/kapda/makan.

The more they read,
the more they know,
and the less they bow.
The less you read, less you know, the less you know how bad your situation is ,the less quality and employability you have and you are more dependant on welfare and handouts and way more easier to control. When there are divided ranks the people are easier to control.Divide and rule is how the invaders controlled India .Don’t let them divide your strength.Rich or poor ,educated in the conventional way or not everyone(except rich politicians who fly to USA,UK ,Dubai for medical care and education)is at risk if you have dirty water, dirty air, horrible hospitals and schools run by those who never studied .It’s no one’s problem until it’s everyone’s problem. No one can change thus until all of us raise our voices so loud that those in power realize the current crop of trouble makers need to go.
Whether a clean system will replace a dirty one or will it be the same system dressed in new clothes…only time will tell.
For now, uproot the weeds. It’s time to clean up the garden other wise in springtime the flowers won’t bloom again.
