Once I knew I was a story at Blogchatter BeStorified I wanted to share it with you .
I started my gardening journey in 2014 .I grew Green and Grey with my plant friends.
The stressful pandemic was survivable because of the supportive family, friends and the green family I call my own.
Thank you Leha Divakar for asking me to write about this Geethica Mehra for being the wind in my sail, because sometimes the stories inside us are the most difficult to share. You can read about my journey from gardening on a balcony, rediscovering my village and starting a forest here.
I was a talkative child and still am very talkative. The words in my head decided to come out during the pandemic through plants, trees, nature walks, blog posts, stories and painting.

This week for the Blogchatter Bloghop,we were asked to share a picture or painting of nature.
This is a picture of a golden Hibiscus ,red Hibiscus, and Kanchan. It inspired me to sit and paint.
The best thing about flowers ๐ is they make life easier with their beauty.Beautiful flowers make me smile. It doesn’t matter if they will be their only for a day.But that day is spent spreading fragrance, joy and peace.
That’s why Planting Trees, seeing flowers bloom and painting them gives me much pleasure .
Six months back the Morjnga tree had three companions from just behind the wall.A mango tree,Jackfruit tree and a Neeem tree .These trees kept the southern part if our garden cool. But they were cut.
Long story short I painted a picture of the Neem tree last year and this year it’s no more.
But life and death is a cycle. What I can do is do my part well.Thats the reason I not only plant trees ,but try to spread the message.
It doesn’t happen in a day,a month or a year.It doesn’t happen with one person or even a hundred. What it takes is each and everyone of us to start doing our bit in the community we live in .Because growing a green balcony was for my health and happiness.
But planting trees is for everyone. For the present and the future neither happen in isolation.I am sitting on a swing under a tree planted forty years back.I am eating the fruits of mango trees planted before I was born.
It’s my turn to plant the trees whose shade and fruits will be for some other special people in the future.
You have only your karma of planting trees in your hand .The rights to the fruits is determined by the cycle of life.
Writing this for the Blogchatter Bloghop.
