But all is not well even in Anne’s world of wonder.Some of her students are not what she expected and she struggles to get their Avonlea Improvers club running,with unexpected results.

Community improvement is an uphill job.Its not just about the money but managing multiple cogs in the wheel.The book starts with several projects the Improvers are passionate about and all through the book Anne of Avonlea we are updated about the fate of thise projects.

The book through its fun lighthearted story telling, makes you realize respect must be earned and each kid learns differently.

What I loved about this book was,the beautiful description of nature and the way Anne interacted with kids.She is the kind of teacher ,every child should have.

Being responsible and fun are not opposites.Your choice of friends determine your path in life .All this and more makes Anne of Avonlea a lovely book..A perfect book for gifting .

Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea are the first two books in the Anne of Green Gables series .I didn’t read it as a child but I am reading it with my daughter. That’s the best part about books.You can catch up anytime.
