Happy Holi. There’s such a happy vibe to Holi.
It’s like Holidays in the short term. Colorful, filled with friends, family, love, laughter, good food, and pure fun. Who doesn’t remember their Holi celebrations of childhood?
Who doesn’t remember Holi fun?
When I was a child we played Holi.As an adult, during my undergraduate days, we played Holi at college with abir on the day before. As a postgraduate trainee in Delhi, I worked on Holi’s,getting drenched in the colored water when I came to the hostel for lunch. That’s an indication to join in the festivities without worrying too much.
Found out the canteen kitchen and rest of Delhi’s food joints are closed on Holi. Was treated to home-cooked deliciousness by friends and neighbors who luckily weren’t on-call that day.
Those Holi’s were fun too.
But when I started playing Holi with my daughter, her friends, my husband it was even more fun. My hubby’s energy level is Stratospheric. He works and plays with so much fun that I always join in even when I am feeling blah(it’s the Aquarian in me,prone to getting lost in my own mind )
So every year on Holi we dress up (me with pics on my mind),carry the Balti(bucket), Pichkari, colors(abir, gulal), balloons, some eco-friendly liquid colors and start playinh. I prefer yellow, red, orange and magenta. Even if they are not as pure as they claim ,they cause less damage.
Plus I always put on Serum or hair oil, heavy-duty sunscreen, sunglasses, hair tied up to prevent unnecessary haircare skin damage. There’s no such thing as too much fun on Holi and we have blast.
If we have a social meet up it’s mostly dry colors ,snacks and a party.
I love the Holi snacks Gujiya, Nimki, all the fried stuff that makes my mouth water. This Holi we are playing and praying. Let the world heal.
Offering my best wishes on Dol Jatra, Dol Poornima, and all the colors of happiness health, and wealth in your life.
Khelbo Holi Rang Debo na ,Tai Kokhono Hoi?
Go play with colors.
This is what holi is about
Now for some colorful podcasting news.We finally finished our second Anchor Team challenge and it was aptly a challenge.2 Themes and 8 people and finally we were five. All in all it was fun.
Our themes were Break the Bias and the Creator Economy. Leaving you with my teammate’s podcast links and what we shared in the last week.
Women, Feminism and the Judgement Day Who judges women? Is being a feminist the ultimate goal? Can you be a feminist, feminine, and or be your own kind of woman and not face judgment? should you care if people judge you? What’s the middle ground? This week on Voice of Anchor I am part of Team Alpha and we decided to Break the Bias and not only talk about women empowerment, but also about equality, making money, and making sense about the Creator economy.
Anchor Team Challenges are nail-biting.Its a draw of the cards a roll of the dice and the universe laughing. You have no control over who your teammates will be.
I must say I have been lucky both times.
It starts off rocky with me messaging and calling known and unknown people. Luckily Tushar my teammate this time was super responsive, helpful, hardworking, and down to earth in the most creative way possible. We managed to finish 16 episodes between 5 of us and that was a relief.
We did our best and you can find all the podcast links below.

Tushar’s podcast: Let’s Talk with Tushar
Tushar’s Maha collab episode with the entire team was a fun recording and I must say the pakora version of chocolate cake, throws up interesting possibilities.
Rupal : Trigger Change

Just when I thought this would be a hair-raising moment, Rupal gave us the good news. She had published five episodes and it was a wrap!

Satshyaa’s Maha collab episode managed to break podcasting mistakes and biases and is a must-listen for all podcasters.
Sonal Imagination Nation
Sonal published three smashing episodes and helped us get a boost up.
