This post is dedicated to all of you.Because you made me better #DoctorsDay
Why I became a doctor is a long story .One which I am not yet comfortable talking about. But it was definitely a calling.
When I became a doctor I realized we are useless ,if not for the people who ask for help.
Those who want to get treated by us, are helping us learn by sharing their problems with us .
As a Doctor we learn from the moment someone come to us with their health problems .
Health is truly our greatest wealth and when this goes upside down, things go for a toss.
Most healthcare problem has a lifestyle impact ,lifestyle issue associated with it .You can most often find it by asking questions which we call history taking.
My favorite part of clinical subjects during my medical college, was this history taking, which is like a chit-chat gup-shup.It would be lovely over chai or coffee but the set up is rarely that way.

7 Things I Learned from My Patients
1. I learned how to block off the surrounding environment and just focus.
2.I learned your mind and body is always in tango when you are healthy.Any one of them misses a beat, you feel out of sorts. The power of positive thoughts is underrated .
3.I learned how to listen to people (I am still working on that part) and hear.
4.I learned how having near and dear ones close to you can help you feel better.
5. I learned that healthcare puts a price tag on good health. But disease for rich or poor causes the same pain.
6.I learned people are still trying out addictive substances knowing full well their implications.
7. I learned sustainable quality healthcare is possible when individuals start treating their body like the temple it is.You are all powerful .You can make yourself healthier. But until you do,subsidized healthcare will end up subsidizing your health.
When you get all dressed up ,don’t you wear your best clothes? So why would you not want to take the best care of your own body?A
