Another beautiful day and another beautiful mompreneur sharing her journey, vision and mission with us on the blog.
Blogging with all it’s techie stuff is basically creation.Biz is also creative.Ultimately the plan has to be created.Anything you create gives you the creativity rush.
Our right brain activities are mainly creative. When people enjoy creating they start using a part of the brain kept normally dormant.
Interestingly a regular person uses only 10% of their brain. The rest 90% lies unused ,shrinks with age. This is a very popular urban legend. It gives us hope .Hope of immense potential for improvement.
So if you are a mompreneur and a creative person you are using more of your brain everyday than most people do ,in their entire life.
How’s that for a little food for thought?
Today you are going to meet super busy mompreneur Deepa Malhotra Gandhi.
She is a Dietician by education, Blogger by passion, a mommy of two girls, a trained dancer and a marathon runner. That makes me tired, thinking.Wonder how Deepa does it.
Living in Bangalore with her family she manages her online and offline activities with grace.A difficult act to follow .
Today we will know the woman behind Kreativemommy her blog where she shares all her experiences through her creative eyes as blogger .

Hi all, I am Deepa. A daughter, sister, wife and mother of two lovely girls 14 and 10 year old. I am a Postgraduate in Foods and Nutrition, and went
on to complete my M.Phil.
I am a freelance dietitian and love dancing and writing.
I am a multitasking mom who loves spending time with her family and her girls.
I wanted to give my maximum time to my girls but wanted to do something of my own too.
I knew right from the time, I became a mother that being a mother would be the single most important thing that had and ever will happen to me.
Nothing could ever be as important to me.
What services do you offer as a Dietitian?
I am a freelance dietitian and provide online consultations, make meal plans and also write various articles related to foods and nutrition.
I chose dietetics because I love the idea of using diet as a means to improve health.
You must be wondering, ‘why I didn’t do it full time?’
I have travelled a lot after marriage and by the time I planned to work, we moved to a different place.
After certain point, didn’t want to go out and look for jobs which suited me and my family as wanted to be there with my girls too.
Deepa you are also a trained dancer.Tell us how you keep such an active passion alive?
I am a creative person and passionate about dancing.
I started my dance school Kreative steps to follow my passion.
I have choreographed kids and adults since last 5 years. My students have performed on stage on various festivals and events.
Needless to say I am very passionate about dance and I always say dancing is my life and music is my soul.
Now you know, I am the dancing dietitian 🙂
So Deepa you are a completely creative person .What else are you into ?
I run an activity center called “ Creative adda” to give wings to the creative kid in me and to my
imaginations.Creative adda is a one place where it’s about bringing all creative ideas under one umbrella.
Art n craft/ dance (bollywood and
classical),music, fun activities and events, cook n bake, workshops for both kids and adults and much more at your doorstep.
I also love writing That’s my new love – Blogging. I started blogging a long time back but it was more like a personal diary to share my own thoughts.
I first started writing for mycity4kids as a blogging mom and at blogger.com for all my personal
thoughts.
Four months back moved to my own space and my own blog.
Tell us more about your blog?
I write for parents, moms, and anybody who is interested to know about Nutrition.
My inspiration to write are my two daughters who make my life worth living and I know I am leaving something incredible behind for them.
I will say writing
is a passion that runs close behind motherhood!
Give us your favourite quote Deepa
I strongly believes in the adage,
“Make your passion your profession and you will never regret”.
I am one of those lucky ones who are able to follow their passions. I am lucky to have a husband who has always supported me and my decisions.
It’s not easy as it sounds but if you are not happy with what you are doing in life, it’s better to give your passion a shot!
