26 Favorite Foods & A Little Bit of Me by Mayuri Nidigallu is a part of #BlogchatterEbook review program.
I am a little biased about Mayuri.I have probably read her 13-year-old blog posts too!But when I started reading 26 Favourite foods, I didn’t know what to expect.Mostly because I haven’t read a lot of food stories. But I was in for a surprise!
Basic theme of the book
Mayuri the author takes you across India with her favorite foods and a trip down memory lane.
Her food stories are lip-smackingly delicious.Evoking nostalgia, exciting senses, making you salivate as you quickly read through this wittily written book.
This book is compiled like an A to Z of her favorites, but can also be A to Z of Indian food.
Some purists may say
But she has included Xmas cake?
I would say,

The Writing style:
If you want the quirky delicious, hard to find food stories, with personality, then this is the book for you.The best part, Mayuri the author has woven her own stories with the food. It’s like fusion food, where both cuisines retain their beauty and together make it unique.
It’s a get to know your author journey too.The beautiful experience of an author memoir, with a collector-worthy list of Indian foods, which few know about.
Who should read the book?
Anyone who wants a great reading experience and loves Indian food like I do, book .must download and readbook.
My favorite is Belgavi Kunda, Ghewar and the two Bengali sweets(no spoilers ), she has mentioned. The authors taste in food is impeccable. But what’s even better, is her nuanced description of each type of food. For the uninitiated, reading about Belgavi may be weird. But rest assured , Mayuri’s words will make it come alive.
What could be better?
I absolutely loved the book. The only thing which I want is hyperlinked recipe links.Somehow they were not clickable. But I did find them on her blog!
Highly recommended book for readers who love an entertaining read and knowledge, wrapped in a good reading experience.Get the book now, by clicking the link below
