On October 13th, I completed five years of blogging. In the real world, that’s how long it also took me to earn an MBBS degree and finish my internship. So that way, 2019 is unique. When I started back in 2014, I did it just because it was a fun adventure. But now, after six books and an anthology, when I am publishing my seventh book, I am sure life is a treasure hunt. You just need to follow the clues and listen to your gut feeling while never forgetting to use your brain.

Walking, like other forms of exercise, has a global protective effect on your cognition. The best part is its low impact and can be done anywhere with zero cost. A healthy habit to instill in your kids early on. Walking helps your brain with right-brained analogic thinking. The source of all design thinking, storytelling and Creativity.
What are the effects of Gardening on health?
Reduction of depression, anxiety, stress, mood disturbances, improving Basal metabolic rate is well-documented.
Gardening also increases the sense of community. The level of daily physical activity, cognitive functions, and overall quality of life improve.
The direct effect of nature is even more impressive. The attention restoration theory says, the natural world restores cognition to a higher level. Exposure to the environment can restore attention fatigue. In this world of too much stuff calling for your attention, you need to restore that sense of wonder. Fidgety children often respond well to Gardening with parents. My daughter has been gardening with me for the last few years, and she is patient for her age.

The shiny object syndrome is a significant hindrance to doing anything productive in life, and so is the yak shaving hobby. You need to play to your strengths always because life really is too short of making all the mistakes.
When you know the goal is a good one, trying different roads makes sense. The best part is, in each way is, you make new friends and learn a new life lesson. In the end, wherever you end up if part of the adventure and you will always have a good story to tell.

There are many new things to learn, and there are no limits to what you can do. But sitting at a desk, writing for long hours, causes significant damage. Your body becomes sedentary and sluggish. Writers need discipline and exercise. Both physical and mental. So what should you do?
As a doctor, I knew physical exercise is an essential part of keeping your body and mind healthy. There was no magic pill and no short cuts. While people debate about the various cool sports you can take up, the simplest thing you can do for your body is to start walking every day.
