What’s in a name? Plenty it’s a bully. But remember bullies are afraid of people who stand up to them. They are cowards at heart.
When the first news of the Wuhan Virus /COVID19or CCP virus entered our conscious thoughts, WHO and China were busy telling us there was not much to worry about. The virus should not be named China virus or Wuhan virus because it’s not scientific etc.
They also said we shouldn’t lock down our borders, and China insisted that there was no people-to-people transmission.
Cut to 2021.
Now we have social media calling the mutations by various names . Dr.Soumya Swaminathan ..” is more transmissible… There is no data about the effect on diagnostics, therapeutics, or vaccine effectiveness.”

Discrimination is not apparently done by WHO but my media outlets with vested interests. Food for thought?
In the video it’s interesting to note that the B.1.617 variant was found in other countries.Again virus timelines are shrouded in grey.
But the WHO chief said in a past interview that they still didn’t have any idea about the strain from the primary sources in China?
The absolutes seem to every clear when it’s any country other than China. All viruses mutate. Following a track is easier when you have access. Thats where all the conspiracy theories gain clout. The tracks are hidden in conjectures, derivatives, grey narratives.
Wuhan Virus Update
By now, everyone and their Grandma know about the 2015 study by the PLA about creating biological weapons. The whistleblower scientist Dr.LiMengYan talks about in several interviews.
The 2015 report doesn’t prove the timeline in this case. But that the PLA and the Chinese Government hold such deep love for the world, is easy to misunderstand. The attempts to whitewash a horrifying crime against humanity are clear.
The problem is not with China. It’s with all those who pretend to believe this happened magically.
A virus with immense power to survive multiply, mutate, infect, and more. But it suddenly appears in Wuhan.
They magically get rid of it with lockdown and border control.
The rest of the world still struggles. Nobody knows what the future holds.
There is an attempt to systematically spread misinformation and change narratives in all countries which China deems a threat. But maybe it’s Thanos framing poor little innocent China.
Considering India’s population and challenges, we tried our best and tried to help our neighborhood. Everyone knows no one is safe till everyone is vaccinated, and China is made accountable.
If heads of powerful countries want to find an answer, there are ways of finding that out. None of them involves China’s help. When there’s a will, there’s away. There will come a time when we will talk about what happened during the Chinese Virus Pandemic without this sense of tiredness.

Government of India has asked all social media platforms to delete articles mentioning the mutated variants by any other name than the scientific one to prevent spread of misinformation.
This has been one scary year and no matter what they call it, I hope the vaccine helps slow it down.
