Brief Synopsis of the Good Doctor
The Good Doctor on Amazon prime video is an intriguing American medical drama series. It is inspired by the 2013 award-winning South Korean series. The American series stars Freddie Highmore as Shaun Murphy, a young autistic savant surgical resident at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.
Dr.Shaun Murphy: Surgeon with Savant syndrome
Dr. Shaun is young, troubled, has Savant syndrome and gifted with extraordinary intelligence. He also wants to be a surgeon. Savant syndrome is a unique condition where along with serious mental challenges a person often has unique and extraordinary genius in some specific ways.
Uncaring, abusive parents, troubled childhood and Shaun and his brother ran away from home. Then his brother died and Shaun with the help of many foster parents and the extraordinary Dr. Glassman , mentor and neurosurgeon guide him. He reaches San Jose.
But will he be accepted as a surgical resident at St.Bonaventure?
