Mixing it all up: Mixopathy

MIXING MIXOPATHY

MIXING MIXOPATHY

I need to travel more. That’s what I think whenever I have difficulty writing.

(There are a few affiliate links in the blog post.)

I was reading the book Writing down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg and she told us to have a list of topics to write so that there’s no problem. I have a long list of such topics in several different places. But sometimes you procrastinate. You don’t write the things which will work for you. You don’t want to do keyword research, SEO stuff, but you just want to write, till it’s all cleared up in your head.

The feeling of having things bottled up, about worrying that you can’t really protect your loved ones. You worry till you can’t write anymore. That happens to me all the time. I have too many things going on too many hats on my head and juggling a few glass balls too.

I need to let go of a few things before I can go forward. I think that’s what tidying up the house does to your head. The last ten months were crazy and my cupboards were too messy. After organizing one of the cupboards I am feeling calmer and definitely able to write more. All credit to the book Spark Joy by Marie Kondo .

The things you keep putting off weigh your mind down till it can’t breathe. I read about how housework is never done. That’s something that’s almost like a universal truth. Apparently, beautiful home is a work in progress too(Japanese saying).

Just like a beautiful body and beautiful mind is always being updated ,so too your home.. What stays in your body, mind, and home all affect you. It’s best you choose carefully what you allow inside. Everything leaves a mark.

Words are powerful. When you tell kids, study or no one can help you -few listen.

When you tell young adults-Plan a career so that they can earn a living and also have fun. Most want the easy way out.

When you tell someone with acute hoarseness, that voice rest and not shouting will help them more than medicines that’s the thing they won’t do.

If a tramcar driver starts flying planes, because he has read about them, flew in a few, and knows people who fly them, is it a good idea?

If you tell people that mixing up all your medicines and having them with your morning breakfast is a bad idea-you hope they will listen.

When do you tell people that there’s going to be a time when one doctor will do all kinds of surgeries -from your eyes to your hemorrhoids?

The easiest thing to do is do nothing. But the question is, what are you going to do?

Paul Taubmann told us to write about something controversial for Ultimate Blog Challenge, day twenty and I alraedy did that yesterday .This is just me writing to share my thoughts.

Are you comfortable with an Ayurvedic surgeon operating on you using modern surgery mish-mash? That’s the mixopathy IMA fears. Self-respecting Ayush practitioners would fearlessly practice Ayush, right?

Otherwise, India will now have Mixopathy to deal with. Scary indeed.
