Healthy Indian Breakfast Recipes

Healthy Indian Breakfast Recipes by Kalyon Munnaluru is one of my favorites from the Blogchatter Ebook library. With the pandemic changing our daily food habits, most parents want to make simple healthy food without additives or processed food going in the mix. So you can make most of these delicious Indian recipes in an instant without much headache. They are, in fact, staples for most households and hold fond food memories for most of us.

I am looking forward to trying out the dosa recipes. I am terrible at making dosa and end up with globs on my frying pan. So maybe this year will be the year of the dosa for me.

One of the best parts of the pre-COVID times was I had a cook who managed all the daily cooking grind. I did only the savory specials, bakes, and cakes. Now it’s the hubby and me, alternating between the main chef and the sous chef.

I have forgotten how food tastes when other people cook it. The only difference is when I visit my sisters or mother, or my sis-in-law sends over something. I miss the home-cooked food parties of pre-COVID days.

In a small town, the choices were limited, but at least when I was in Kolkata, I could visit the newest restaurant.

I never had any grand plans to cook daily, the challenge of the daily dal to be tasty and nutritious is a challenge. As a family, we are health conscious and patient with repetitions. We go through food cycles which I will not bore you with. This book is useful resource for all those who want the occasional oomph to their breakfasts or even snacks.

The author has a lucid easy to read style engaging the reader from the introduction of the book. I enjoyed knowing about his adventures before the food journey began. Books are a glimpse into the author’s soul, and this one was a sneak peek; I hope to read more food stories from the author. For recipe books the recipes are crucial but the food stories can make them stand out.

Book Content

  • For individual recipe Food stories snippets at least of his memory around the food

The Book Design.

  • Clickable content calendar.
  • Video link since he is a food blogger with a food channel, this would be gold.
  • Book Cover  a little bland. I wish the poha or the besan chilla was on the cover for more colour
  • One recipe in one page would make it easier on the eye.

But these are a minor issue which the author can add anytime.
