How Healthy Environment Helps Mental Health

Healthy environments can reduce stress and inspire creativity. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

This Tweet by Google creators made me think.

Did you know complete health and wellbeing is only possible when both internal and external factors work together.

Genetics and Epigenetics both are critical

While Genetics and natural selection is not our control, Epigenetics is to some extent.

Environmental health ,social health community health, work place health, home health come in this basket. The umbrella category is still Environmental health.

So what makes up the Environment?

Physical environment Nature, air, water, buildings the chair you sit in  .Ancient Indian  Vastu Science talk about the physical environment and so does Feng Shui.

Social Environment :People.Those around you.

It’s not easy. But things worth having are always uphill.

So let’s take one day at a time. One place at a time.

Which place makes you happiest?

Which place makes you sad?

Where do you feel angry?

Why and What?

Can you change the factors which bring  negative emotions?

If it’s a yes,change it.

If no, then you have to work on your mindset.

But what exactly is mindset ?Is it like a dinner set?

Setting a table?

Can you set your mind?

Yes and no and sometimes its in-between.

When you have a recurrent thought, your brain neurons fire in such a way ,so as to follow the path created by the previous neuro electrical path.

In order to create a new path, imagine a positive solution. Something which works well ,which makes the situation better and you will find a way to make it better.

The book Think and Grow Rich sounds like a book selling myths. But this book is one of the best examples of creating winning mindsets.

So mindset is your internal environment.

For external environment .

There are living beings and nonliving objects .

If you remember middle school physics everything has energy. One form can convert to another, but everthing has some sort of energy .

But science doesn’t talk about positive or negative energy except as a way to describe opposite poles.

So that part becomes more subjective.

In the book Spark Joy Marie Kondo talks about a simple method of decluttering.Finding things which spark Joy.

That’s great and works .

For people it’s a little more complicated.

Work with people who not only spark joy.

Gives a sense of peace and balance .Who make you feel happy 😊.

Those who have integrity.

It’s interesting to say that you are ” non judgemental “.

But everyone judges. Whether they express the judgment in words or deeds is another matter.

A country’s Supreme Court is talking about taking away reproductive freedom from the hands of women.

The environment of stress for women facing unexpected pregnancy is unimaginable.

Leaving you with a urban sketching style artwork of the “village garden”.Life is about trying to paint one picture at a time of what I want in my life.Or that’s what I am trying. But as my husband says ,”some things need to evolve at their own pace.”I am still trying to wrap my head around that part for now .
