How is the Health of Nation? Apollo ProHealth #WorldHealthDay

Health of the Nation Report
Apollo Pro Health

When it’s time to talk about health, there no such thing as too much prevention. On World Health Day, I attended a webinar by Apollo Healthcare where they talked about their Health of the Nation report. It includes data they have collated over two decades and the trends in Non-communicable diseases. In this article, I will be sharing a few insights from the webinar I attended online.

The report puts a spotlight on how there’s a steady rise in non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the last twenty years. The COVID 19 pandemic has firmly shown that NCDs can exacerbate symptoms and cause complications. The data Apollo is sharing is crucial to driving home the point. Just with NCD alone deaths account for 64.9 % of deaths. But with preventive practices in place, it’s possible to prevent deaths due to NCD by 80%.
