God’s gift to me

Do you know which is the best gift God has given you ?
Do you know which is the best gift God has given you ?
When I read about Romila’s contest, I knew which topic I wanted to write about.
Gifts“, that’s what!

Christmas is about gifts.
Gifts you give .Gifts you receive.
When I think of gifts I have received, I feel blessed.
Since all gifts are ultimately God’s gifts, my first “thank you”, is towards the almighty who has given me so much, and continues to do so.
What you are is God’s gift to you, What you become is your gift to God.

Hans Urs von Balthasar
God has given me the gift of a beautiful family ,wonderful friends, good health, mental peace(somewhat struggling with this one) and the willingness to be a student for life .
The least I can do is say “Thank you”

Without it we wouldn’t grow

Every other gift is a result of his gifts.

It may be a simple card, a surprise bouquet of flowers ,anything.
I love giving and receiving thoughtful gifts.
Thoughtfulness ,is what makes gifts special.

  1. Gifts occupy an important place in our social life. They build our relations with other people. We exchange gifts with other people on different festivals, events etc. Gifts speak our love for one other. There are gifts which are gifts which are given merely out of material considerations.Gifts are token of live, trust and good will. They play an important part in making us love one another. The given of a gifts bring to surface all good qualities which we posses. They make us humble and help us in shedding off our pride and vanity.

Your post was so apt for my prompt/topic. Thank you for writing for the contest. Top 4 to be announced soon. Keep a watch on my tweets.

  2. Our Christmas is always about so much more than gifts you open, i struggle when people ask me what i want for Christmas because i already have so much to be thankful for, i prefer homemade gifts. I love this post its so lovely and positive. I also love pinterest ☺

  3. Lovely..I liked the way your posts are full of gratitude and love. I get inspired and motivated after reading your posts. keep going. You are a gift as a friend to all of us too. 🙂

  4. A beautiful post I must say. It feels. So good to write do not n about everything good happened with us. And then we start feeling how blissful we are to have this life.

  5. Hey Amrita, I am with you on this! I love giving gifts, and hence, Christmas is my favorite time of the year!

Thanks for linking the wonderful resources here, checking out the knowbook right away! 🙂

  6. You’re so right, Christmas is about so much more than just giving gifts! There is so much to be thankful for! Happy holidays! x

  7. Yes we should reflect and appreciate the gift we actually are. Being a parent is always a learning lesson but I plan on changing things up to instill more appreciation and sharing our gifts versus buy gifts. Gifts of company, kindness and support.

  8. I always try to be thankful! I’m not really religious, but I do still strive to be grateful and thankful for all I have.

  9. I love your positive vibes and ability to realize everything we have is a gift and we should cherish it (:

  10. we do have so many things to be thankful for in life and i think it’s such a shame that those gifts we have are diminished at Christmas time by so many “wants” of other (generally trivial) things that simpy clutter our living spaces and therefore our minds!

  11. I’m totally relating to this post.
Even in these moments that my health hasn’t been in the best place, I am super grateful that I am living 🙂

  12. So true, we have so many gifts to be thankful for. I am so grateful for having enough money to provide food for my family and Christmas gifts so that my children can be excited Christmas morning xx #mg

  13. You have summed up the word gifts so so well. Really love this post for making me think of my life and my very many blessings in the same way. I hope you remain this blessed throughout your life… cheers!!

  14. Such a beautiful post, Amrita.
Yes, even when we think we don’t we always have more than enough to be thankful for.
Loved this line, ‘Life is beautiful. Thank you God for this gift.’
