You Raise me Up :A Prayer of Gratitude

You Raise me up

Josh Groban’s song is iconic.

“You Raise Me up so I can stand on mountains

You Raise Me up to walk on stormy seas

I am stronger when I am on your shoulders.

You Raise me up to more than I can be .”

You Raise me Up!

Songs with words like these make you remember the higher power who has brought me along in this journey. It’s also a time to remember, all those who raised me up .Josh Groban’s voice and the way he says these words touched a chord in my heart and that’s why this post is a thank you post.

Saying thank you to all those who raised me up.

In all places separated by time and geography women who have done their bit to make this world a better place for women. My paternal grandmother was working in an office during the sixties .She was a graduate woman and definitely an inspirational figure through family stories. She died before I was born and my mother always reminded us we had this vision to remember. My Maa and all my maternal aunts all worked in reputed Government offices and their struggle helped me realize why women need women to lift them up.
