Why am I  trying Draft to Digital?

I published my ebooks on Amazon first in 2016.Its been a long time .I found with time Kindle Unlimited stops being effective for the books.

Plus there are pirated prints of the book available on other market places of Amazon whose customer support I can’t access.I also wanted my books to be available in libraries across the world .That is my way of giving back to the world of book lovers, books and libraries. With KU and Amazon ebook publishing I can’t reach the libraries. Apparently public libraries don’t buys books from Amazon. Now unless I have ebook published through Draft to Digital I can’t get the libraries to  stock my books.

I also ran into an even bigger problem while  trying  to buy an ISBN in India online. The website is glitchy and I ran into some problems with one book and have currently run out of patience with it.I spent a year trying it at different times of year ,with different device ,but I couldn’t work with it.Its still on my explore more list and hoping will work prayer item.

With Draft2 Digital I want to finally publish my print books because I love holding books more than an electronic reading device.

Is it going to ge easy?

No

Is it going to be difficult?

Depends

Why exactly am I doing Draft2Digital  Print on Demand?

I always wanted my books to be available as prints ,in libraries so that children ,adults could read them.I also wanted the process to be hands free after the initial setup.

I simply don’t have the time, resource or energy to keep my books in storage and manage sales and shipping. Not yet.

Some friends have enquired about a paperback version and I was not sure about POD by Amazon.

Joanna Penn recommend it highly and her tips work.

Most importantly I don’t think books should only be digital. Stuck to the screen is bad for prolonged time and for kids even more so.Thats the reason to truly walk the talk and print-on -demand sounds great. But it’s the 2025 experiment .
