What Book is a Repeat Read?

What book could you read over and over again?

I have not one but six  series book and one  nonfiction I repeat read ,whenever I want a comfort read. The thing about comfort reads is,they rarely challenge your understanding and is like a warm hug.

Now without any delay here’s my list-

1.The Enchanted Wood series by Enid Blyton

2.Famous Five Series by Enid Blyton

3.Hercule Poirot series by Agatha Christie

4.Perry Mason Series by Erle Stanley Gardner

5.Feluda by Satyajit Ray

6.Five Find Outer series

7.Things are What you make of them

The best part about these books are they are now being re-read by my daughter too.Its a cupboard full of family favourites.

The common things about these books on my list are-

  • They are feel good
  • Very inspiring
  • Holds my interest
  • Time less
  • Written in simple language
  • Makes me forget my current worries effortlessly.

In case your child is not yet a  reader and you want to  help them find their reading habit ,then 1,2 ,6 could be just the thing!

  1. I do have many books that I read over and over for comfort as you say. I buy those books. Otherwise I borrow from our public library.

  2. Famous Five!!! I was a huge fan as a kid, and I recommended it to my son when he was in elementary school. However, as an adult I thought it was a bit dull. Still great to reminisce, thank you!

  3. I have not heard of these but will need to check them out. To be honest, I don’t really reread any fiction books, and once I read non-fiction books and make notes in them, I only refer to them as reference for writing. But you definitely make a good point! 🙂

  4. I have to confess, I haven’t read a book from cover to cover in so long. But I do think that my granddaughter has read the Enchanted Wood, that sounds familiar.
