The Doctor Died after reviving a Newborn! #WATWB

This doctor died after reviving a baby! Life and death are destined. The untimely death of a colleague always leaves me sad.

The doctor who you met at the conference last week, the friend you liked on Facebook, the college friend who ended his life, how are they doing? Are they in your prayers? The people who are taking care of the health of others should be able to take care of their health. Overwork helps no one.

This news made me cry. Minutes after reviving a newborn Dr. Bibhas Khutia collapsed on the labor room floor. It was at Patanda  Primary Health Centre in East Midnapore. He suffered a massive heart attack, and when taken to Panskura super-specialty he was declared dead.

On this WATWB I want to appeal to all those who are serving others, don’t forget that your health comes first. If you are not healthy you can’t help anyone.

We miss you, Doctor.

On this #WATWB post, I am sharing this news hope you help one person to choose health.Dr.Khutia served till his last breath. Let’s help all our loved ones to live well.

Wellness needs eight aspects in complete balance. When any of the eight aspects are disturbed, we collapse.

So what are the Eight Mantras of wellness or the WellnessSutra?

  • Physical Health
  • Emotional Health
  • Intellectual Health
  • Spiritual Health
  • Social Health
  • Vocational Health
  • Financial Health
  • Environmental Health

Tomorrow I will tell you more about this. Till then ask yourself this question: are you well?

  1. Ohh this is such a heart touching story, I agree to the fact that caring is good but one should always take care of themselves.

  2. How sad it is…It’s really pathetic and you are right every person should take care of their own health first. Doctors are living a hectic life and it’s really hard to take care of their own health. But I didn’t know about these 8 aspects of life.

  3. That’s very heartfelt incidence. In rush of life we ignore ourselves and end up where we never imagined.

  4. It’s sad when you hear such news!! One can easily say it’s god’s decision. But as you said, it’s our obligation to try to be healthy!

  5. God! This is so sad! The fact that Dr Kutia was known to you, makes it all the more devastating. Yes, health comes first, and those who are helping and caring for others, need to take care of themselves too.

  6. This is so heartwrenching q story. I think doctors and medical professionals should take care of themselves .

  7. I so agree with you. Your health is first. Even my gynae aunty, who helped in my both deliveries is always so over-worked. She is a family friend and I always feel that the profession of a doctor is not easy. A responsible doctor is always on 24/7 duty.

  8. So heartfelt story. We forget about so many people who helped us a lot. Thanks for sharing this story

  9. So sorry for the doctor.. Thanks for sharing this news with us . Born and death is not in our hand but to stay healthy and fit is in our control.. Very nice reminder dear ..

  10. So sad to read about this Doc.Surely health is the primary wealth that we must all take care of.

  11. It’s really hard to know about it! Helping others people tend to take care of them, they forget a picture about them! Nice remainder for sure!

  12. We often ignore our health while taking care of others It hurts to read how a doctor collapsed after giving life to newborn.

  13. Though there is pain in this story, it also is a wonderful showcasing of the commitment that exists in the medical field to save a life.
