SPINALOGY CLINIC PUNE:DR.POONAM PATEL VASANI

Dr.Poonam Patel Vasani is a friend and I am biased. But other than my hubby one of the friends who were there through thick and thin during my Medical College days was Poonam. A Gujarati speaking fluent Bengali her slender frame hides a determination you will rarely find. We also share a common love of avoiding nonsense of all kinds!
Today on my Blog and Podcast I am interviewing her journey as an Anaesthesist and Interventional Pain Consultant who wants to help patients live pain-free!
As medical science progresses chronic diseases make debilitating painful living a common problem.Quantity and quality of life often not in a balance. In end-stage diseases often palliation of pain is the only intention to improve life. Some conditions make movement impossible and oral and intravenous painkillers may have dependence or compliance issues. This is where interventional pain management has a big role to play.
