If Daddy had to play Mommy for a day #MondayMommyMoments 2017 week 3

This topic could be a laugh riot. But in our home this is actually the real deal, half the week .

When I am off to the hospital, my hubby is in  charge of everything

When I mean everything, it’s literally everything.

From getting Rai back from school, to giving her a bath.Feeding her and playing with her.He even gets her homework done. On the days I have on call and OTs, daddy is a lifesaver.

I know it’s sounding too good to be true. But I would have to lie, if I say my hubby is not a great parent.

What can I say ,God  is kind .

I have never had a nanny, since we shifted to this small town in West Bengal.

The hygiene level of the ayah’s was nightmare inducing. I would rather do the work than pay someone ,not have the work done and get irritated .

I managed because I married my best friend in college, who still helps me every inch of the way .That’s the best way to be friends for life.

SRK was right “pyar dosti hain”.

Monday Mommy moments week 3 2017

The only thing daddy doesn’t do is sing ,dance ,draw and craft like me.

He also has a problem napping with the baby in his lap. That’s my expertise.

Whenever Rai is in my lap or we cuddle ,we both fall asleep at the same time.Something to do with melatonin  being a volatile hormone.

At my home, when Daddy is mommy for a day ,things run great.

Last  week when we wrote about #Bangaloremolestation 13 people voiced concern.

The scary part is, we are still scared.

What exactly can we do, to make things better is anyone’s guess .

But not stopping the dialogue ,the protests is important. Every time we forget events like this ,we give the guilty another chance.

  1. You are one lucky mommy Amrita! Indeed having someone from the family take care of the children is God-sent and not everyone is that fortunate! God bless your family!

  2. The journey of friends to partners to parents is the most beautiful one! My story ain’t very different from yours, extremely glad to connect 🙂

  3. How well you have curated the sentiment…. support small or big from partner makes life much more easier. It’s always please reading your blogs.

  4. It is important that partners take equal responsibility in taking care of kids and home, specially when both are working full time too. That’s an ideal household for a kid to grow up. Enjoyed reading about how both of you manage in spite of busy schedules
