Legally Yours is a book about Indian women’s rights. Its about Hindu women, Muslim women,Christian women’s rights, when unmarried, married, divorced or in a live-in relationship and some more. Legally Yours, though a nonfiction, excels at breaking up the tough, dry legal jargon. It provides easily digestible snippets with a conversational language, real case snapshots, and Bollywood references. The last one though had some strange stories.More about that in detail in the book.
I love courtroom mysteries. Perry Mason and Erle Stanley Gardner mysteries were a favorite. They were loved for all the legal know-how’s. The tightly woven mystery was also a major attraction.

What I wish
A helpline/website/database of lawyers according to pincode/town/cities/ for women to access help anywhere. Police stations are not always the most helpful when it comes to protecting legal rights. Right there we have a problem. But that is beyond the scope of this book. But I can send out a wish for the universe. In this age of Jamtara scams and everyday cybercrimes ,its a great book for staying aware and protecting yourself.
