Incredible India Bucket-list

I enjoy reading travel stories and the experiences of travelers on their journey. But, of course, virtual travel is a thing in this world now. But today, we are not going to focus on pandemic stuff but on a beautiful opportunity to glimpse the magic of Incredible India. This was actually the first book I downloaded this year from the beautiful Blogchatter Ebook library.

From north to south, east to west, India has varied geography, culture, and archeological treasures. I downloaded a book from the Blogchatter ebook library to update my travel bucket list. The book Incredible India Bucket list is true to name.

It’s no mean feat to write an A to Z Book in any niche, and the author Aditya Sathe has done a commendable job.I loved knowing about the history, the architecture, the myths, and what makes them unique.

Content Highlights:

My favorites include Kochi history and its relation to China .Co Chin meaning like China and the story about Chinese fishing nets.

The stories about Hampi, about how Krisha Deva Raya commissioned the important monuments of Hampi, is an exciting read. Imagine Hampi being the world’s second-biggest city of the medieval era, following Beijing. It was a bustling wealthy city attractive to traders and tourists equally. I learned about the Hill temple complex and the circular boat. One day I wish to visit the Archaeological Museum of Hampi and the remains of the iconic Vijaynagara empire. One wonders what India would be like if the invaders had better things to do!

The Konark temple is steeped in stories. The famous chariot wheel can be seen on the reverse of the Indian ten rupees currency note.

Vikramshila, a center of excellence, was part of an elite knowledge-sharing club-like Nalanda, Somapura, Odantapura, and Jagaddala.

What works for me

  • The storytelling
  • Historical background
  • Points of interest
  • Easy to read and follow.
  • It’s a quick read.
  • Images are well-sourced, keeping the reader immersed in the reading experience.

Who is this book for?

  • This book is for travelers who want to visit India’s iconic historical sites and want a handy guide.
  • This is the perfect book for readers who love to collect travel books.
  • If you would like a virtual India trip, download the book now!

Book Blurb of incredible India Bucket List

There is a saying in Marathi, “केल्याने देशाटन, चातुर्य येतसे फार” meaning if you travel across the country, you become clever. In our motherland, we are blessed with such a vast landmass and a varied culture. It is tough to cover all the places from our Incredible India. So, this book presents you a bucket list of 26 places spanning across India, which include natural wonders as well as man-made masterpieces which will not fail to impress visitors.

What could be improved in a second edition:

I liked the effort but a few things which could make the book even better.

  • Dividing the book into east-west, north-south India and then put in the places. Though the blog post is A to Z, the arrangement in the book in this manner makes this a little challenging to be a helpful travel planner.
  • Maybe a few tips about local cuisine where to stay.
  • A map of India with the locations as pins. The author is a mapmaker, after all!

  1. I couldn’t think of map to put in the book. May be map making is my work and writing as a passion… But definitely, I can make that match.. Thanks for the idea!

  2. We all are captivated within our narrow world due to the Covid pandemic. We are feeling bored and exhausted. Internet is the only way to wondering. So let’s roam with it. Thank you, Madam.
