Children are the most affected in this Pandemic. Their education, their childhood,their play all have to adjust .It’s a very heavy price to pay.But with conspiracy theories flying fast and thick ,there are few ways to bear the blues.We are waiting till vaccination for kids is possible.
Solving some fictional crimes, is what we did to get rid of the unanswered questions of our real life.The book is the first in the Young detective series.
It’s a tribute to our shared love for mysteries.
Why did we write and Self-Publish the Book?
Writing was mostly done by my daughter with me pitching in only when she got stuck.She wrote and told me about it.
But why did we decide to publish it?
So that 2020 doesn’t become a missing year in our life.Its a year when we learned a lot of things about self help.
My daughter also wanted to learn the process behind writing and publishing on Kindle Unlimited.I enjoyed showing the little one how it’s done.
Now how did the book get written?
One day at a time.

Writing
Well most of the credits for the writing goes to my little one,I did my part too.Mom has to have credit right?
Illustrations
My daughter also doodled the illustrations for the book.
Editing and Proof Reading
I did both the developmental.editing and copyediting.Grammarly was our editing helper and proofreader did the final part.
Bookmockup
We created a mockup of the book by cutting and pasting thd relevant sections next to the pictures to get a better idea about the story flow.
Book cover
Canva helped us edit and Resize the image for the cover and illustrations .Kindle Create is super helpful to get the book ready.
Categories and Keywords
Then we found the categories and keywords using Kindle Rocket
The Kindle create for kids book and its previewer was running into a glitch so we used the regular Kindle create .
Now it’s done.A years work which we loved.The next two books in the series are getting their illustrations done by the little one.Hope to share more news from this series soon.
