Erle Stanley Gardner Creator of Perry Mason

Creator of Perry Mason Erle Stanley Gardner

I am a big fan of Perry Mason and growing up becoming a criminal lawyer like Mason was one of the game plans .But I wasn’t sure the criminal law scene in India would be suitable as a career choice.I became an ENT surgeon and have never stopped feeling the need for starting a private detective agency.

Human Body for Kids-A Look Inside You by Dr.Amrita Basu  is my latest book .It’s a book to help kids 5 to 15 years have a quick understanding about what’s inside your body. Its Free for a limited time.

But before that I would need to learn to fight or do everything under cover or from the couch under a Pseudonym. In the current scenario at RGKar  where a lady trainee doctor was brutally raped and murdered,I so wish I had the training to do just that.To get her justice .

But since none of that is happening soon,I decided to start writing .That’s my way of fighting the blues that seems to rise up and  swallow me whole ,whenever I imagine her trauma in her last moment.

Today I am supposed to write about Erle Stanley Gardner,I am writing about his writing life.He was hardworking taking  copious notes about his own research, his fails and wins. .He understood that the plot needed to be gripping.

He never stopping writing a better mystery ,a delightful unput-down-able book.

That’s why  Erle Stanley Gardner (born July 17, 1889, Malden, Mass., U.S  an American author who wrote nearly 100 detective and mystery novels has sold more than 1,000,000 copies of each of his books. He is  the best-selling American writer of his time (source).

He wrote many books of which 85 are Perry Mason books. You can check out the full list here.

I wanted to share this information for the TBRCHALLENGE prompt this month and I hope you pick up a Perry Mason soon ,if you haven’t read one yet.

Perry Mason his famous fiction character was a lawyer and like Erle Stanley Gardner in real life ,fought for the underdog.

Erle Stanley Gardner worked pro-Bono for the Court of last Resorts and that I think makes his contribution to the world of fiction truly special .
