Thankful Thursdays: 3 Simple Pleasures I am thankful for(32)

hankful Thursdays: 3 simple pleasures
hankful Thursdays: 3 simple pleasures

Some things are uncanny. When you count your blessings they are supposed to multiply. Now, what happens when it appears they don’t?What do you do?Stop counting blessings?

Does that make you feel happy?

Does it make your mood better?

What if things are not going well and you still hold on to the one thing you have control over?

What’s that you ask?

I will tell you a secret. It’s your mind. When you can control your thoughts, you have a power that few have.People may or may not understand your way of thinking, but God has a way of making things right.Even when a thousand different thing is crashing down.In the end, we will all reach home!

Does it help to make a list of all things that went wrong this week, this month or this year?

Or does it help to make a list of all the wonderful things that happened? If you watch the news, you will be hard pressed for things that make you happy. But that’s where Thankful Thursdays help me. Each week when I say thank you, I remembered all the small things which made me feel good. It’s that time of week again.

It’s time to say Thank you!

My daughter was born on a Thursday, so Thursdays are special.

The 3 Simple pleasures that make me thankful are:

The Air conditioner. Maybe not simple. But something that makes me happy every moment of the hot sweaty summers in Malda.Work stress and irritations disappeared at the end of the day when I enter my home.Life feels blessed.

My love for books

I cannot imagine my life anywhere without my family or books.Wherever I go, I just need a storybook, and now my Kindle, to feel at home. The habit of reading that I developed when I was 6 /7 years of age changed my life.

Books are the best way to learn from other peoples mistakes.

The perfect cup of Tea

Have you ever had the perfect cup of masala chai?

A gingery milk tea?

The fragrant Darjeeling tea?

What about a whispering green tea?

Affair with Tea

All this can make me sigh and think about it for the entire day!Tea is like my first best friend.I can never forget her, nor can I find someone like her! Even the memories make me smile. When we meet, time seems to have done a jump around!

Thanking the Universe every week is just my way of staying calm and less freaked out.Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.But when all things seem to be crashing, it’s your soul which need strengthening.Thankfulness is one way I do that.

How do you strengthen your soul?

  3. I can understand the need for an AC. We are lucky in Bangalore but I know the north has been in this sweltering heat. Books and cuppa are important this side too 🙂

  4. Beautiful and completely so like me. I do not think I would have anything to add, if I were to write my own version 🙂
