20 QUALITIES OF A REAL HERO & Secret tips to find One too!

20 QUALITIES OF A REAL HERO
20 QUALITIES OF A REAL HERO

What are the qualities of a real hero?Do you know how to be one? Do you know the secret tips to find a hero? Don’t worry I have news to share.

When we watch Hindi movies the heroes are often flawed. They don’t study (I am obsessed with this one). The foul-mouthed hero, marrying the arrogant princes and teaching her all about real life is a favorite topic. A reverse fairy tale or a modern fairy tale. Whichever way you look at it, as a woman  I don’t want heroes like that in my life.

Golden heart like Munnabhai who needs no degree to cure patients or win legal battles gives out mixed messages.

Then there are films like A Wednesday, Raazi, and Chaakde, which made me think about unlikely heroes and what exactly is being a hero all about.

Can heroes have flaws? I think they have. Humans are flawed, so it’s natural that human heroes will be flawed.

Why are Incredibles and the Avengers series so powerful? Why did Avengers Infinity war kill all the heroes? Is it important modern literature and films portray a positive hero or is a negative hero (if there is such a thing ) okay?

Does the hero need big muscles, big heart or a smart head?

Who is a hero? 20 Qualities of a Real Hero

  1. I admire how beautifully you have articulated the qualities if a real hero in a very simple manner. How I wish people acknowledge the efforts of the real heroes and stop living in the illusion of reel ones. Great post Doc Amrita ????

  2. Most of the heros depicted in movies are hardly role models. There’s no humility, and so much violence. This is a good comprehensive list. Most of the people are real life heroes without even realising they are.

  3. I really liked the simplicity of the article. It is indeed very well articulated and explained. We have so much stereo-typed the word Hero , we should always know that its not just limited to strength but also so many other things. Because of this many real heroes and their work goes unnoticed.
    This was a wonderful piece.

  4. Really loved the way you have intricately described what being a HERO is actually about.

Chuck the surreal & often stupid depictions of ‘Heroes’ on celluloid which only offer cringe. A well-written post, Amrita!

  5. Unfortunately most of the real life heroes in our country stay unnoticed while the reel ones are worshipped. A much needed post. Congratulations on successfully completing this challenge.
