I tried to learn to code. Let me rephrase that. I thought I would try learning to code. There wasn’t enough time. Maybe it was me procrastinating.
Whatever it was, I forgot to mention I signed up for the 100 days of No Code challenge starting January first.
What is this 100 days of No Code Challenge?
They plan to help us make stuff without code, which usually takes code. Sounds cool, right? It’s like Canva of coding.
I made this wishing tree using free Canva elements for a challenge, and drag and drop can be a game-changer in the coding world.
Interestingly, all the cool no-code stuff is often made by coders.
A good teacher can make a five-year-old understand, and even though the challenge is tough for a five-year-old, my nine-year-old was busy giving me tips about learning Airtable.
I had to politely refuse her help because I honestly wanted to do this and see where it took me.
Every year as a maker, I try to explore something new. This year it’s this.
So how far have I come?
It’s only day five, and you can follow along on my journey on Twitter, where I plan to update you about the challenges regularly.
Is it something I need to do?
No
Is it something I want to do?
Yes
Is it going to teach me something?
I hope so.
But why No code? Why not code?
Oh, that’s going to happen too. When? I don’t know, but someday.
