10 Reasons I am thankful for being a blogger #ThankfulThursdays

I started blogging in 2014 .It’s a mad mad world.

It’s my world .It’s my  dream. It’s  my journey to find my soul’s home and financial freedom as a mompreneur.

Since 2007 I haven’t  had 1 home .Changing cities and houses meant I couldn’t put down roots .Couldn’t plan.

But then I read somewhere, that adaptation to change ,is the most important measure to live well.

Now  human beings  especially   women need stability .

Emotional stability is something I have always seeked.

#1o

I found that emotional stability ,when I started my blog.It was my digital home.I was the owner. I could garden ,draw ,decorate, put down roots

Being a blogger, was my cocoon.

My home which changed only when I wanted it.

I am thankful that I have an online home which belongs to me.I own it .I have my stamp on it.

When I became a doctor I realized all the lifestyle advice I so passionately  gave was in fact   repetitive.

So many people needed to know about the same things .My blog niche was determined. Plus it gave me a perfect  way of giving back to society, from where I was in life.

I didn’t have to wait  20.years more for my daughter to grow up before I worked full-time and more.

Because blogging can be done even sitting next to your sleeping baby .Guilt free.

I have a voice  and it’s  a responsible one. When you are blessed, it’s important you remember and say thank you.Having  a social media following is not just an ego boost .It’s a powerful way to make your voice reach the people who need it most.

Being a blogger has given me  a wonderful opportunity to  give my voice for issues that matter.

#7

I meet amazing people daily.People who are trying ,failing ,trying and doing better than they ever thought possible.

People who inspire. People who teach by doing. Some Go Giver lessons I learnt from Amy ,Pat Flynn and the Ultimate bundle people are imprinted in my brain forever.

I mention them every chance I get not because they ever told me too.But because they taught me an important blogging lesson.

# 6

Blogging gave me the chance to read and discover  awesome writers everyday. Its like an enormous library .Forever updating ,growing.Like a living breathing knowledge hub.

For a bookworm like me ,blogs are a treasure trove. Christmas every day.

10 Reasons I am Thankful Thursdays for being a blogger .It’s a privilege and a responsibility

# 5

I am loving reading , learning ,writing ,teaching and exploring financial freedom.Being a doctor is one   great way of being financially free. This blogging journey is doing everything on my own  terms and finding  a model that works for mompreneurs.Let’s see what it takes.

#4

I practice thankfulness on a weekly basis.Making this habit has been life changing .

When I write about my blessings I feel doubly grateful.

It’s the best way to pray

My blog is my Thankfulness  journal.

#3

It’s helped me live and breathe again.

When anxiety was eating me up.Life seemed hopeless .The struggle to be a doctor and  mom was proving too much.

I discovered blogging. It helped me find my answers .My why .My how .My what.

#2

It has helped me  keep my brain super active .Blogging is creative and technical.Art and science. Needs brain and soul. Talent and sensibility. So blogging is keeping me young. The more I learn more new  connections between my neurons.

More I apply there occurs new collaboration between different parts of my brain. The more my brain works  it eats up all the glucose  I eat .Then I lose weight magically (I wish!)

But seriously if Sudoku appears pointless, blogging might be just what you need.

# 1

I finally discovered my ‘sex and the city ‘ band of blogging  friends. Those people who get me.Who share dreams ,goals and wishes like me.Who want to make a difference.

Who are amazing bloggers ,caring individuals, and as crazy as I am.

Thus #Thankful Thursdays, the first one in 2017 is special .Special because it’s  my third month hosting it.With Tina travelling during December it was a challenge doing this every week.Buy I am thankful to all the lovely bloggers who wrote with me ,to say thank you every week.

  1. Blogging has given me so much! Reading other peoples blogs has been a huge help in my life too. Its a wonderful journey!

  2. All great reasons why bloggers should be thankful! I really like what you said about how it takes brains. It really does. You have to do a lot of research and learn new skills daily. It’s a lot of work, but that’s when passion steps in and gives you strength.

  3. Your post is inspiration to many, who think they can’t do anything from home. They just need determination to move ahead. Loved your analogy about your tribe. Keep writing ☺

  4. I love the community of bloggers we are creating. I also began blogging to find my voice. After quitting my full-time job and embarking on a completely new career while raising our kids- I needed an outlet! I can really find parallels with your top 10 and my own.

  5. Congratulations on finding your passion and being able to use it to help people! I’m sure your blog has given many people some awesome advice!

  6. My wife and I were just having this discussion. She says she does it as an outlet. Even if no one were to read it, she feels better having put pen to paper.
