Why  You Shouldn't Grow Your Microgreens in Plastic Containers  and what you should grow instead

Reuse and Recycling plastic often requires a lot of Creativity and DIY Creators love giving good tips for creating planters ,containers with old plastic items.

Using these for planting flowering plants or indoor ornamentals is okay but not edible plants or microgreens,salads etc.

The plastics leach into the soil and the chemicals they release are not good for human body.

They release endocrine disruptors which cause trouble with hormones the reason why drinking water from plastic bottles is a problem too .

It’s best to use terracotta planters for growing food to avoid contamination of the soil,plus it’s easy to repot when thd plays grows too big.

So what to grow in plastic containers?

Decorative plants

Flowers

Non edible plants
