A Treasure I am Thankful for

A treasure I am thankful for is my family.

When I read this prompt by Write tribe I thought long and hard. What’s the one treasure I never want to part with?I love books, I love my plants.I am also a jewellery lover and a lipstick hoarder. But I really couldn’t think of them as my treasures.

Treasure is something precious.Which makes you feel blessed. That makes you thank God every day .that makes you realize how beautiful the world is.

That’s why my most precious and beloved treasure is my family. While my mom has always inspired me to read more, write more and try new things without fearing criticism. My sister was the unfailing supporter who made me confident when I lost my mojo.

When I got married to my best friend I realized that love is exciting, but it’s something more.It gives you a feeling of peace, of homecoming, of security and immense bliss.I learned to look at problems with an eye to solutions.

Then I became a mother. That’s also when a writer was born.Looking at the little one I realized, I want her to learn everything I did.But I worried. Will I be able to tell her? Will she understand?

Will I be able to make a difference? As a mommy, I have the tremendous responsibility of teaching by setting an example. How difficult is that?

That’s why I started writing .

Whether I am there or not, she will have my blog. She will always know how special she is.She will also know how mommy thinks.Every step of the way I had my family helping me.They are not always by our sides. But their contributions in my life has made it what it is today. We are nothing, achievements mean nothing.Life is meaningless if you don’t have a family to love and share your joys.

My greatest treasure is my family.

  1. A very nice treasure to have and the reason you have given to consider it a treasure is quite impressive.

  2. Yes, love is exciting and then it transforms to something peaceful. I feel as we grow up (ages wise) our wants become different. When we have kids, the mom in us wants us to be the best.
The support we need/give in the family is incomparable to anything else!

  3. You have given another reason for me to write. My blog will be there for my kids even I am not there. This is very hard to accept but it is the truth. I always find something new when I come to your blog.

  4. Family will always support you, be there for you, love you unconditionally. No materialistic things are comparable to family love and that indeed is our treasure.

  5. Treasure… we set out to find is always with us… inside or around… all that we need is insight!
Good that u hv found this wisdom at an early stage of life and gud that u thought of bringing rhis fact to lite.. so that many of us will get enlightened!
    Good read Amrita!
